No.

Not ever.
Pre-Fergie they were pretty good underground hip hop, in the same vein as Jurassic 5 or Pharcyde.

They are now the definition of pop music.

J. Cole appears promising.

I think we're seeing a hip-hop revolution. The pop radio shit doesn't suck like it has for the past 10 years.

Big Boi's new album, Sir Lucious Left Foot...Son of Chico Dusty, is good.  Very good.

I always expect big things from Andre and Big Boi, but this is even better than I'd hoped.

Even has a Yelawolf cameo....unexpected to say the least.

For the curious, check youtube for Yela's "Box Chevy 3".

I can vouch for this.

I downloaded it as well. In the past Andre was always my favorite, and I felt he pulled Big Boi's weight a bit.

Now, Andre 3000 is so far out there, they're like comparing apples to oranges. Andre isn't even really a rapper anymore.

I guess Big Boi has picked up the slack out of necessity.

I, too, preferred Andre for a long time.  Then Speakerboxx/The Love Below gave me a dose of each on his own.  Big Boi has been my favorite ever since.

Gadsden, AL, represent!!!

Also, he has a cameo from a band out of Marietta he apparently signed to his label, Vonnegutt.

Any Del the Funky Homosapien fans here?

He just released a new album.  Not as good as his old ones but still good stuff.

Back to Yelawolf, he is pretty damn amazing.

However, I just saw this video.

Notice the part about "waking up in Crimson Tide Alabama Sweatpants", and popping the "punk" in the Auburn hoodie.

Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall said, "Guys don't mind hitting Michael Vick in the open field, but when you see Cam, you have to think about how you're going to tackle him. He's like a big tight end coming at you."

For a trip down memory lane, create a "Big Boi" channel on Pandora (I assume Outkast would work as well).

The last few artists: Craig Mack, Slick Rick, Ice Cube, Nas, Mobb Deep, B.I.G., UGK

Awesome.

Diddy Dirty Money's Last Train to Paris is a pretty solid album.

I think it's the most interesting project Puffy Puff Daddy P. Diddy Diddy Sean Combs has on his resume. Very futuristic and atypical beats, yet still pretty poppy. I guess more along the lines of Drake or some of Kanye West's more recent stuff. Has a little bit of a Euro House Trip-Hop feel.

Pretty different stuff from the "Uh Huh. Yeah" guy from the 90's.
