Things are kind of slow on these hot days of summer, especially in Lubbock,Texas. And as American families
gather to celebrate Independence Day it is fitting for a head coach to catch-up on a few things when he gets a
break, possibly to reminisce, do some small chores that one seems to always put off, maybe make some vacation
plans or even clean a shotgun; yes firearms do require proper care even without use and doesn't it feel so good
eyeing that slick barrel and hearing the crisp mechanical snap as you break her down. Ahh! Well here I am, way
out here all by my lonesome. Couldn't hurt to squeeze off a few harmless shells. After all, this IS Texas where we
express strong feelings and unity both publicly and privately no matter how the pie is sliced. We distribute money
disproportionately with a purpose and everyone has always been in agreement contrary to what many non-Texans believe...
Hmm, think I'll just stretch out on the couch for awhile.
