Best name ever for a dog was the name of John Wayne's dog in the movie BIG JAKE:

"Dog"...............

Best name one of my dogs ever had:  I got a female beagle pup for Christmas 1979.......and my dad named her:

NCAA (pronounced "naca") because she was a bitch just like the organization (sweetest dog I have ever been around...unlike the bastages in Indianapolis). My beagle before her was named Shug and he was a true gentleman dog and loved to have his left ear scratched.....and yes I even had a beagle named BO and he was big, fast and could hold up his paw and pose like the Heisman.................

that's my story and I'm stickin to it.

I was at a vet down here a while back and someone brought in a dog named....Chuck Norris.  I LOL'd all over myself at the vet.  I've got an outside cat named Damnit.  I renamed her that because no matter where you step, she's right underfoot. You pull up in the driveway and she darts out in front of the car.  DAMNIT!!!
