Been listening to Lord Huron. Draws me in because nothing they do sounds the same.
Kind of a indie/western pop sound with very talented front man Ben Schneider.

A good sampling is on KEXP Seattle which is the go-to for damn near everybody. The live songs are pretty much on point with the albums which is somewhat unusual.

Lord Huron is solid.

Strange Trails is one of the better albums I've heard the last 5 years. Fool for Love is a good little tune with some different things going on in it.

I thought they were obscure but then I started hearing their stuff on tv shows and commercials (Dale jr Farewell commercial).

About three years old or more but a great blue collar tune that kind of sticks with you.

Also:

That this guy can pull this off so well is incredible. Never been into head banging metal but this is a prime example of the adage "can't judge a book by its cover."

Was in a store the other day thumbing through some old CD's. Saw Buckcherry 15 for a couple of dollahs. 15 has the only 2 songs I know from them, Crazy Bitch and Sorry. Took a $2 chance and glad I did. Straightforward, unapologetic rock-n-roll. Reminds me a bit of AC/DC or ZZ Top. Not that they sound like either of those, just that they know what they do well and don't stray far from it. At least not on this album. Definitely plan to check out more from them. Supposed to be releasing a new album this upcoming March.

Mix - Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Fanfare For The Common Man:

Explained to my son that this was a three man group from the 70's in Olympic Stadium Monteal.

This is a warm-up in the wintertime.

The above is the perfect example of the saying that guitar players get all the chicks.

Then you get the following which is just an exclamation mark on pure talent.

But in context what needs to be noted is the equipment, the conditions and last but not least the time it was released in relation to say, 1970 and WWII and 1970 and the present.

Deconstruction

I was just turned on to this album this morning. It's Dave Navarro and Eric Avery from Jane's Addiction recording while Perry took time off for the Porno for Pyros stuff. Released in 1994.
