Adding onto the mainstream country, let me pipe in about Jamey Johnson. Only new artist that reminds me of the old greats in country. His music, like all great country music, is about drinking, fighting, or how his woman left. "My Way to You" is my favorite song he's done.

He's from Montgomery, and Mrs Jarhead was his prom date in high school.
