For the record, I feel no more ill will about Kaos than I do about any of you.  I wasn't aware there were folks here that didn't like him (other than occasionally Prowler).

Sorry to hijack, but does anybody know the real reason he quit?

He said he was spending too much time on here and he was trying to run his business...and this was taking too much time.

In my opinion, Kaos couldn't let shit go. He HAD to respond to everything that he disagreed with or give his opinion on any topic. He is a writer by nature, so he can't just write a couple of lines like me. He expresses himself  with what he writes, and I am sure that took up a whole whole lot of his time.

Again, that's just my opinion. I appreciated his take on here and wish he would come back. but whatever. I didn't agree with him on everything but I think he believed in what he was saying and wrote what he though...damn everyone else. And for the most part, I think he could be respectful to the people he respected. We disagreed on a lot but it never got to the personal bullshit that it got with some of the others...I think it was because we both knew that we wanted the same things, we just had different takes on how to get there...

Hell, I work 12 to 14 hour days, 5 to 6 days a week and I still find a little time to post...."da skreets" gotta be heard.  I figured "da skreets" drove him away when they nailed bammerham News #1 Basketball player in the State, Josh Langford, and the 45th Ranked player in the Country, Luke Cothron, coming to play BBall at Auburn. 

Here's what Kaos bitched about:

Coach Chizik and Staff (Pretty good season last year, Awesome recruiting class with another one on the way to go along with possibly another good season)

Coach Lebo (he was shown the door a year or so too late, now Coach Barbee is knocking it out of the park in his short time at Auburn)

Jay Jacobs:
(Football HC hire?  Extremely excited about their recruiting efforts and the football team is heading in the right direction)
(Basketball HC hire?  Extremely excited about their recruiting efforts and can't wait to see what he's able to do with the team)
(Baseball HC hire?  The best that I remember in quite a while)
I'm sure there are a couple others, but those are the only three that I follow.  Didn't he also hire the Men's Swim team HC...twice?  Yeah, if so, then that's another feather in his cap

All in all Kaos has nothing, at this time, to bitch about.
I sure will miss his movie reviews 

on a side note: kudos to Kaos for not being a total fuckin' prick and living up to the bet.

Like you said - he is a writer by nature. Its how he gets things out. He's a passionate dude and I think loves Auburn to a fault sometimes. To the point perhaps where he can't be pleased with how the school and the AD are operated. At first, he took some getting used to for me as well - not on the X but on another board. When I first had a disagreement with him, it was extremely heated. To the point where the gay assed mods on the board put everyone in timeout for about a week....He even got a 6 month ban on that board later on and many of us on there (JADennis and Simp) called bullshit on it because he simply gave his opinion.  I know he was feeling terrible last week - so much that he went to the doc to get it checked out.  I personally liked the fire he had and I would hardly call his style to be 100% personal insults. He just simply had opinions on many things that werent the status quo and it rubbed people the wrong way. Then the mudslinging would ensue. On many of his posts I honestly think he was being taken more serious than he was actually being.

As wes said, opinions of him aside - he's a decent dude off this board and the man kept his promise. Thats more than many would do (Ahhemmm, fucking shitbag Sensible).
