TETRA Chemicals has an immediate opening for a Sales Manager for its Calcium Chloride and Bromide products in the
Southeast Region. This position reports to the National Sales Manager and will be responsible for direct customer contact, pricing proposals, verifying specifications, delivering marketing materials, building forecasts and ultimately coordinating delivery of orders through customer service.
Responsibilities
Achieve annual forecast volume and financial targets within expense budget.
Maintain strong relationship with customers.
Develop new business as directed by business managers.
Report on customers, competitors and market activity.
Serve as an expert on Calcium Chloride and Bromide.
Product applications & specifications.
Markets and end uses.
Distributor strengths & weaknesses.
Customer requirements and relationships.
Pricing and delivery requirements.
Identify and educate on new applications.
Working knowledge of regional carriers, terminals and warehouses.
Identify and compare competitive distribution and transportation modes.
Forecast 2 yr rolling regional sales projections.
Justify and confirm expenses and regional sales budgets.
Manage customer bids as required.
Track receivables and ensure payment within TETRA terms.
Make timely and professional customers calls commensurate with size and potential.
Document customer price changes in a timely manner.
Participate in Trade Shows and other Industry activities.
Communicate with internal TETRA team in a timely and professional manner.
Manage “Special Projects” as requested.
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in Business, Sales or Marketing or equivalent experience desired.
• 5+ years experience in Sales Management in the Chemical or GOM Oil and Gas Industry.
• Prior experience, application & technical knowledge in Chemicals related business.
• Effective communicator and decision-maker.
• Sales leadership skills, confidence and the ability to inspire others.
• Demonstrated record of guiding sales growth.
