Actually, It has been quite the opposite.  With the QB battle and a new starting RB, I feel like coverage/talk has at least doubled from previous years.

It is the first time in a while we haven't had a new coordinator. I think that makes it feel less "busy." Nobody is learning a new system.

News is also hard to come by since reporters aren't really allowed in practice except occasionally the first 30 minutes.  Most of the news comes from just talking to players after practice, and that isn't a lot to go on.

They've essentially removed all of the opinion articles on what reporters think they are seeing.
