Currently down 8-4 in the 5th. Corey Luckie had a rough outing but John Luke Jacobs has shut them down since he's been in. Not looking good for tonight.

11-5 was the final.  Seven game win streak comes to an end...now it's time to start another.

Lost our little league opener 11-5 then I get home and find out AU lost 11-5.  What a crappy night.

Nelson pitched a good game today, but the bats were cold.

While AU dropped 2 of 3 it is nice to see we have quality pitching with our day 2 and day 3 starters.  Day 3 killed us a few years ago, so to win a game 3 against a top 15 team is nice.  Happy with the progress.

I think this maybe the best coaches we have had with the big three sports in a long time.  As much as it pains to say...kudos to JJ.

Mid-week game against Troy.  Then at Tuscaloser for the weekend series.  They are coming of a three game sweep at the hands of (@)Arkansas.  Would be nice to bury them in the standings.

This game...not the basketball game really...means a lot more to Troy than it does to Auburn. I would bet the pitching match-up favored Troy big time with Auburn going into a H U G E series this weekend against Bama...

You might want to look at stats before betting big time on things.  This was only Ward's second start for the Trojans, he has been a relief pitcher all season.  It was Smith's 3rd start for Auburn, so it was about equal in the pitching department.  Then both teams relief pitchers that came in were about equal.  In reality Troy has a better baseball program than Auburn does, evidenced by who has received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament more recently.

Auburn beat Troy twice last year.  Huge difference in SEC baseball and the Gulf South or SunBelt or Patriot league or whatever they play in.  It's not just a game here or there.  A good pitching performance or an off day or whatever will get Texas beat by Bethune Cookman.  It's grinding it out weekly against LSU, Florida, Bama, Arkansas, SC etc....

Regardless of the Condom mascot team in Troy, Auburn still has the best batting average in the SEC.
