Hopefully I can continue my comeback as well. I was left for dead in last place about 5 weeks into the season (when I was without internet for 2 months due to a move), but I've been steadily  making up ground since then. Ogre and I are in a great fight so far this week to claim 8th place in the standings.

You certainly kicked my ass last week.  Three weeks ago, I was already starting to decide what to do with my winnings.  Today, I am cowering in the corner sucking my thumb and rocking back and forth like a former Braves coach.

What was Pale Raiders name in 2008 and Ogre's from 2009? I can find their teams from one year but not the other. Unless I'm looking right past it, which is entirely possible.

<raises hand>

I think I finished 11th or 12th in 2008 and just missed the playoffs last year, coming in at #9.

I don't think I played the first year.

you are correct.  for some reason i was thinking you fielded a team (a partial) of former auburn players but as i think about it...it was the football team. (?)

2008 roster:  the year i beat ogre (muff divers) in a tie break. no money.   thrilla won the consolation.

2 Balls 1 Ball
Aubie16s Lolygaggers
D-baggers
Death Dealers
Jarhead's Team
MaximumKaos
Muffdivers
No Pepper Please
War Cubbies!!!
Widowmakers
lifesapplepie
nookie

2009 roster:  the year a fucking 7th place team took the hardware plus some change. i took home the most $$.

2 Balls 1 Bat
Aubie16s Lolygaggers
Creatine Warriors
Death Dealers
Dirty Needles
Disabled Vets
Muffdivers
Roid Rage
War Cubbies!!!

If you make it to the playoff, then you have a shot at winning.  That's all there is to it...all regular season standings aside.

These teams will fudge their lineups all up to preserve players for the actual MLB playoffs, making some of our lineups perform totally different in our playoffs then they typically do right now.

How bad did I beat lose to  Thrilla last week?
   3-5-2

Jumbo, we bees all tied up currently.  It's tough to beat you in the pitching category since 99% of your team is pitchers.
