I found an internet archive of some Bands I used to go see at Auburn Bars back in the day. I loved Spoonful James this brings back some memories.http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=coverage%3A%22Auburn%2C%20AL%22
Ah....I can smell it now. String Cheese Incident at 4th Quarter or Velcro Pygmies at The WESC. Mid/Late 90's - good times.I remember when Bodega actually opened. Never cared for that bar much, then or now.
Pyg's still rock the Supper Club. and Bodega's is no more...try to keep up!
Velcro Pygmies still play at Firenze in Hoover as well, although it's been awhile since I've seen them there.
Have you had the opportunity to let them hang your panties from the rafters? How about receiving a Blow Pop from the lead singer...but, most importantly, he's the one that puts it in your mouth?
I had backstage passes to the gangbang. I can't even count the number of times I was Eiffel Towered, much less donkey punched.
Serious? What is there now?I go downtown all the time (daytime) but have never actually noticed much. Shows how much I cared about the place. I can see why it closed though. It was just horrible to me.
It's the Bank Vault now.If you didn't like Bodega, you won't like this. It's the same exact bar with one more big screen HDTV and a bunch of paintings of rock stars that Moe's had to take down due to copyright infringement or some such shit.

It was really the setup I never liked. You walk in and BAM...the bar takes up about half the room.
