UA staff member linked to NCAA sanctions at Central FloridaBy Gentry Estes, Mobile Press-RegisterFebruary 11, 2010, 9:37PMThe University of Central Florida's football program was placed on two years' probation today for recruiting violations that involved current University of Alabama director of player personnel Ed Marynowitz, according to a report in the Orlando Sentinel.View the NCAA's infractions report on UCF here. The newspaper reported that the NCAA and UCF found Marynowitz and Steve Rubio, who is currently at the University of Tennessee, to have placed 209 improper phone calls and about 100 improper text messages to football prospects and family while employed at UCF, which violated NCAA rules. Violations were discovered and self-reported by UCF's compliance office.Marynowitz served as UCF's recruiting administrator (which is how he is referred to in the NCAA report). He was hired at Alabama in Dec. 2008. The NCAA report states that UA was unaware of UCF's major violations at the time of Marynowitz's hire, but took "immediate action" to investigate and that "no call or text violations" have been recorded in his current role.
Looks like he's fitting in at Tuscaloosa pretty well.
Can you imagine how big of a stink this would raise from the "Auburn biased" Birmingham media if this were, say, Trooper Taylor?
Exactly....and it would be littered with all kinds of "so that's how" inferences.
"no call or text violations" have been recorded in his current role.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand this is why I hate the off season.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand retards like you are the reason I hate everything associated with bama.
Aaaand I'm to busy caring about winning the National Championship to be concerned about what auburn fans think about a violation that was committed when employed at another school. Sing it with me, Pell City... "Remember the Rose Bowl, we'll win then."
Aaaand your so busy caring that you took the time to respond to the thread.
Exactly. I'll never pass up the opportunity to remind you we're the National Champions.
teh Wal-Marks does a good job of doing that.
A testament to how much you don't care about us.
I ain't ever gonna quit you.
That sounds like love.
