Maybe we should start calling SPuat the "Cow College" because little Sheban treats his players like cattle.
But he's so short, he would need a tree instead of just a stump........

Or maybe he refuses to give in to the egos of 17 years olds.  All he has to do is say he'll take a kid's brother and he's got a 5 star on campus.  Instead he wishes the kid and his brother a good career and shows them both the best way to get out of tuscaloosa with the least amount of traffic.

Not talking about that kid, I am talking about Region. It's obvious he didn't like the way Saban treated him. But Saban couldn't help it, you know, after his committment speech and all.

"You better commit to me now boy or you won't have a scholarship later on. I need this since that cow college whipped my ass last year in cruitin'. I got all these crazy red neck fuckers asking me how I let the cow college beat my ass. So commit now and end your recruiting. Now"

Saban's not for everyone, that's for sure.  Ironic since also not everyone can be Champions.

I thought hypocritical snakes that say anything to get a guy to sign with him usually don't have the support of the team they're doing all the lying too?  I mean after all, they're the ones that know first hand what was said while they were being recruited.  You'd think they'd have a hard time getting behind a man if he's back tracking on everything he once said.  Yet they follow him all the way to the top of the College Football world and have rings to show for it.  I get why none of you like Saban.  He's successful.  Not only is he successful but he makes your rivals successful too.  As a matter of fact he makes your rivals undefeated Champions.  Despite what this forum may have you believe there hasn't been anyone that has left Alabama's program proclaiming Saban to be a hypocrite.  As a matter of fact people that play for Saban are willing to give there legs for the man.  They want there children to play for him.  I wonder why they'd feel that way about a man that lies to each and every one of them?

But again, I get why none of you like him.  I wouldn't either if I was you.

Since Spurrier never said that I won't accompany your post with the "how are their careers working out" post.

Then I'll continue to my "how are their careers working out?" comment.  I hope he's enjoying handing out his advice and insight in South Carolina while Saban is handing out National Championship rings in Tuscaloosa.

What???  Championship Rings at 'loosa???  When did this happen???  Oh well, that's in the past....quit looking in the past, bammers.

I'm guessing that little Sheban will be holding another press conference about not pressuring prospects into committing and how it shouldn't be done...then he'll throw in "Family" atmosphere at SPuat, somewhere in his ramblings.

$20 bucks via paypal says you can't find a link from a credible news source with that Spurrier quote in it.

So far I've found a variation of the quote on, you guessed it, another Auburn board.  Unfortunately when you google it all you get is links to Auburn forums.  Wonder why every news station cleared this quote of their archives???

“I honestly don’t think king Nick will ever leave Bama. They are the perfect match. A guy with no conscience and no ethics, worshiped by a fan base too stupid to value either.”

In this one "Spurrier said" king.

Actually this is apocryphal.  It was an email rumor widely circulated (a.k.a. skreets) but was never independently verified and the original 'source' of the rumor was never discovered.  It was also never reported in legitimate media.

While he may have said it to friends or in passing or in confidence, there was never any credible evidence to confirm that he did for public consumption.  So he didn't.  Plausible deniability.

Fuck off, Birmingham.  Not defending you.  (But the cat pic is incredibly gay... even though there's something wro... oh nevermind)

I'm not a gambler.  I wouldn't have offered 20 bucks if I knew the comment was credible.  I just wanted to see if prowler would post some ridiculous story about having a friend at a press conference who heard the comment off record.
