I really think that this Colts team could've went undefeated.  I really hated seeing them pull some of the key starters and give up on that.

Especially Mr. Manning.  Those jokers cost me around $200.

Manning didn't look real happy on the sideline when they pulled him in that first loss.

Did you guys see the Buddy D Tribute Parade?  Buddy D always said he would wear a dress if the Saints went to the Super Bowl.  Last week, SEVEN THOUSAND men put on dresses and paraded through the French Quarter.
FABULOUS pictures.

http://www.nola.com/superbowl/index.ssf/2010/01/photos_buddy_d_dress_parade_pa.html

Awesome.  There are no fans like Saints fans.  They have loved a suckass team unconditionally for 40+ years.  They wore their paper bags, and sang songs about the 'Aints, but they still showed up at the Dome, and met the team charter after games, win or lose, and now they are getting the payoff.

They have a Saints parade planned for Tuesday, win or lose.  That ROCKS.

GEAUX.  SAINTS.

I'll admit that I moved from New Orleans when I was 12, so I'm not a true die hard Saints fan.  I'm a huge fan, but some of those people such as my father are crazy.

My dad honestly believed every year that we were going to the Super Bowl.  Every year.  Not a joke to him.  It wasn't until the day the Saints were eliminated from playoff contention that he would give up on the dream.

Did he cry last Sunday night when the Saints won the NFC?  You bet your ass he cried.

My hubby went to PARTY CITY during lunch on Monday to buy party decorations.  I did not know he knew what Party City was.  He bought FIVE BAGS of stuff.

He went online and bought a Saints banner.

He started organizing the party supplies Monday of this week - got out all the crock pots, platters, etc.

He is in the kitchen RIGHT NOW drinking Abita and cooking chicken-andouille sausage gumbo.  My entire house smells like roux.

Yeah, he's excited.

NO.  NO.  NO.  That's my point.  HE DID ALL OF THAT HIMSELF.  NO instigation from me.  I was shocked - usually party planning is my job around here.  Granted, I have been laid up for two weeks, but he did this all by his little Who Dat lonesome, with no input from me.

From a women perspective, yes his little pee brain is still working. From a mans perspective, his massive brain has been putting this plan together for atleast a week now.

Instead of just the normal five thousand that parade there everyday?

AWK was about to get really excited about the pics, but then he saw that "r" in the title "Throngs of Men.."

I'm gonna go with the Saints by at least 13.

People kept asking and all I could say is that I could not bet against the Saints. I don't even feel they were the best team on paper. But I became a believer. They just win. They peaked at the right time and they just got it done. Sometimes it happens that way. Grats to them.....if they win.....

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

:bugs:

Here is what a dumbass I was last week. I totally forgot about Freeney being out/immobile/useless. I still would have picked the Colts, but would have picked it closer. The game was a lot closer than 30-17 also. It was a tie ball game late.
