This is the thing about Kiffin - he could probably be successful if he would shut the fuck up and do his job.

Instead, he talks shit, breaks rules, then walks out to a different job.

He's barely in his thirties and in the last five years, he's been the offensive coordinator at USC, the head coach of the Oakland Raiders, the head coach of Tennessee, and now the head coach at USC.

One would look at that resume and conclude he's on track to be one of the greatest coaches of all time.

But he sucked EVERYWHERE as a head coach. And he'll continue to suck. And once the NCAA ignites the dynamite on the Trojan ship, he'll bolt somewhere else.

I'm trying to get confirmation from somewhere, but supposedly (from two different message boards), Tennessee students have gathered at the athletic department and are causing a scene.

Just to get an idea.... on the Rivals board there was about 11,000 people logged on when Saban was announced head coach at spuat. I looked at about 8:30 there were 24,000 people logged into UT's rivals board.

I was shocked at first...and don't get me wrong, he's a first class douche....but I'm not ready to say he can't coach. He had one of the biggest jeckyl and hyde QB ever to play in the SEC. The guy was Ryan Leaf and then Peyton Manning from quarter to quarter. And he was Ryan Leaf 85% of the time. Even so, and with defenses loading up to stop the run, Hardesty had a great year and they were 7-5 in the regar season....a decent improvement given last year and the QB situation.

again, he's a first class d-bag, complete with hot wife. But I say with him and Coach O, barring massive NCAA sanctions, USC wins the Pac 10 3 of the next 5 years.

Gotta love the rioting. I would like to take a moment to change my official statement that hiring chizik was the craziest move in college footballs history. This tops it. I looked ove the list of the other coaches he's bringing back and noticed they all figure heavily into the Reggie Bush era.
Is USC hiring them back so that the NCAA will pass judgment on the guilty?
