17-10 over TCU.  Looks like they may be a legit contender, just another reason we need a playoff.

I actually expected TCU to handle them.  One of the surprises in my book.

It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Me too. In fact, I was hoping TCU would jump Texas and play bama. I thought they would have a better chance of beating them.

17-10 over TCU.  Looks like they may be a legit contender, just another reason we need a playoff.

Let me go ahead and make the argument this BCS matchup was designed to make.

Neither team is deserving.  All Boise did was beat another second-tier team like itself.

Just look what happened when Cincinnati played a "real" team.  Had either of these teams played a "real" BCS team they would have been bludgeoned just like Cincy was.

Do I buy that argument?  Not so much.  But you'll see it made on the national scale today.

These two teams were placed in this bowl game against each other so that neither had a chance to "upset the applecart" and actually beat a team from a major conference.

Yeah, I heard some AU fans saying "Yeah, Bama sure is lucky they aren't going to have to play TCU!" a few days ago. I assumed it was a setup, so just in case Alabama won, they could automatically say "Well, they would have lost if they played Team X." So, if Alabama wins the NC, who are we lucky we didn't have to play? Boise St? Ohio St? Oregon?

Is this any more ridiculous than Bammer fans that already feel entitled to the victory on Thursday night?  Your inability to recognize time and place (ie; bama fan on an Auburn board hearing smack about bama, auburn fans talking bs to get a rise out of people like you) is alarming sometimes.  You post these questions like you're actually serious sometimes.

Are you serious?  You DO remember losing to Utah last year after basically feeling that you'd win that game easily last year?  Right?  You DO know that rivals are going to post things to get a rise out of the rival sometimes, right?

Sheesh.

You question my ability to recognize time and place, then you bring up Alabama losing to Utah....last year. Nice. I felt like we would win against Utah, but I didn't think we would win easily. As the distractions started mounting, I even told others that this isn't going to be an easy win at all. Utah was undefeated, so even relative to the level of opposition they face, they had to be somewhat decent. They had beaten the #12 (TCU) and #14 (BYU) team in the country just a few weeks prior. They beat BYU handily, might I add. Then add in that you know the team ahd to have not been really giving a fuck after losing the SECCG, and then the whole Andre Smith fiasco. I still think we should have won. But easily? I never said that, and for that matter, smacked down anybody who said it. You may as well bring up us losing to ULM in 2007. It has about as much relevancy as the Utah game at this point.

As for Texas, no, I don't feel like we've already won. I'm not so sure we'll win. I think we will, but its not something I would lay cash down on. I feel the same way I felt about the SECCG. I think there will be 4 quarters of some hard fought football. Of course I think Alabama will win; because I'm an Alabama fan. Do I think we will win easily? Fuck no. Texas is going to be ready, and they're going to have some shit up their sleeves.

It's relevant that lessons learned obviously do not maintain with a vast majority of your goober fan base.  All I hear (outside of you) is that Bammer's gonna stomp a mud-hole in Texas.  There's t-shirts already made, and number 13 is a givin'.  So, yeah, it was relevant.  The point is that you guys never learn, and it's evidenced again THIS year after something as recent as last year's bowl.

Do you think Texas doesn't have shirts made up as well? How the hell do you think the SECCG shirts hit the streets 2 days after the game? There are always a shitload of shirts and everything made for each team, ready to hit the streets if they win. Most major sports do. Why do you think sometimes in like National Geographic, or other publications, you will see a kid in a third world country running around in a Super Bowl shirt proclaiming the incorrect winner of a certain year? Most major sports do this, and the shirts with the teams that don't win, usually go overseas to third world countries.

Shit, even some here have said Alabama could possibly murder Texas. Thats coming from AU fans. Personally, I'm not all about that. But how are you going to blame our fans, when even AU fans are saying we're going to monkey stomp Texas? I'm not saying that EVERY Alabama fan thinks the way I do. Not at all. I'm simply saying I'm normally more on the pessimistic side, unless something is obvious. I just don't see anything pointing to us obviously winning over Texas.

If they do, they're not selling them yet.  Not so with Bama.

I can go in the Target here and buy a Bama NC shirt today.  They had them before Christmas.
