You're damned straight I did. Why would anyone go through their closet - knowing full well what event they were dressing for - and choose to wear this? I am an Auburn man to the marrow of my bones, but I would never even think of wearing this type of clothing to this kind of a gathering.

It's called having class.

I agree 100%.  BUT, I wouldn't spend 1 second at a loved one's funeral noticing things as petty as what other people are wearing.

C'mon now. If there was an elevator in the shithouse, sure you'd be focused on taking a shit, but hey, there's a fuckin' elevator in the shithouse!  Sometimes things just stick out, or look out of place.

I don't see it as being petty; just tacky. I'd feel the same way if a smoking hot chick walked up to the coffin wearing a thong bikini. It's about time and place.

C'mon now. If there was an elevator in the poophouse, sure you'd be focused on taking a poop, but hey, there's a phukin' elevator in the poophouse!  Sometimes things just stick out, or look out of place.

Eye of the beholder, I suppose.

I look at someone with an Auburn shirt, I see a person wearing an Auburn shirt.

You look at someone with an Alabama shirt, you see a fucking classless asshole who just beat the fuck out of his wife, fucked his sister, refuses to take care of his kids, doesn't have a clue how to get to Bryant-Denny, doesn't have a dental plan, and probably wears the same Alabama shirt to every meaningful event because it's the nicest shirt he has.

I guess I can understand how one viewpoint could stick out more than the other.

For the record, I would have the same opinion had the people worn Auburn, Tennessee, LSU, or Real Madrid Tee's. Common decency dictates a collared shirt in this type of gathering.

Ok.  AU/UA bullpoop aside.  As much as you travel, you should know that people handling your food aren't the people to phuk with.  I hope you were on the road and ordered a pizza from some place you never plan on eating at again, because you know that delivery boy will rub his balls on your pizza the next time you order.

Trust me.  They remember names and addresses.

Haha, I don't get delivery. I pick up my pizza and they all wear uniforms that don't resemble UA attire. No Balls in my pizza thank you very much. On another note, I do have Chinese delivery and all of those people are smart enough not to choose UA over AU. At least that's what I'm able to understand of them.

I love hearing the bammers claim that they're going to the Rose Bowl and that it's their destiny to win that game, because it's in one of their bammer songs.  But then, whenever ESPN shows previews of the Oregon/OSU game they call it the Rose Bowl.  Hmmm, looks to me like the bammers are wrong...shocking.

Na.  I know some here that are as intense as your discription.  However, I'm fine until I see bubba on the side of 280 making a special effort to get to the side of the highway to stick the iron bowl score shirt in my face simply because I had the audacity to drive down the street the day after with my AU flags flapping in the breeze.  Or, like the 24 year old pizza guy, that could have just been the pizza guy in a bama hat had he not chosen the perfect opportunity to mock the poor Aub who has the misfortune of traveling to Tampa and actually go to the New Year's game.

Bammer's in bammer shirts don't bother me.  Seeing some little hottie sorostitute from Bama tooling up and down 280 as she pulls into Greystone or Highland in her, or her daddy's Porsche...  Don't bother me.  Loser bammers that have NO idea what the fuck their doing socially in this world, and have no clue as to when the fuck to be a bama fan, and when to just be normal are the one's that bother me.  They're all handled accordingly, or viewed as the pure comedy they portrait.

Like Pell said, it's time and place.  Pretty simple.

Then on the other side of the fence, you have people sending rivers of emails to business owners because they had the audacity to place the words "Roll" and "Tide" next to each other, somewhere on their property.

Like I said, classic spy vs spy.

And fuck you THS, for starting this shit before the off-season is official.

All agreed.  No justification here whatsoever, but as a business owner, you HAVE to know what you're putting yourself out there for, if you choose to play with "Roll Tide", or "War Eagle".  Especially if you choose one exclusively over the other.  Unless you're in Tuscaloosa, or in Auburn, you're playing with a short fuse either way.

So, would an Auburn fan be wrong for ordering pizza from the Pizza Hut in Foley since their sign outside says "GO JULIO ROLL TIDE" every Saturday that Alabama plays? Or do business with any business in Foley that mentions support of Julio, only the second player ever from Foley to have any sort of meaningful college career?

Yes.  As a matter of fact, I will not shop in Foley as long as they have that crap on their signs.  Well...except for the week of July 4th.

I wouldn't order anything from them. Not one damn slice. However, if they just put "GO JULIO", it may be different. The second a business displays "Roll Tide", they are choosing sides and deserve to lose whatever business Auburn fans don't want to give them.

I wouldn't say it was "wrong" for an Auburn fan to do business with them, because some people don't take the shit that seriously, however, if I was at a social function, and Auburn fans was getting pizza from there, I would make my opinion known...

I think everyone answered your question pretty clearly.  There's nothing wrong with a community rallying around a native son, or daughter, or team.  However, when you're in a populated area with a large portion of that community being fans, or supporters of the other team, you have to decide how you need to handle it if you choose to ignore, or exclusively support one over the other.  Pulls at people's strings.  It's not rocket science.

The question I'd ask you, is while it's okay for an Auburn guy to order a pizza from that Pizza Hut, will it be possible for one of the bammer supporters in there to NOT say something about the Auburn customer's shirt, hat or whatever?  I'd venture to say that 5 out of 10 times, they couldn't keep their mouth shut on the subject.  I believe also, that 3 out of those 5 would say something disparaging, or something belittleing their support of Auburn over Alabama.  Just a guess...and my opinion, but certainly based on experience.

Do you really take football shit that seriously?

Damn straight I do, because that kind of shit isn't about football.  It's more.

Fuck pizza boy.  Not only would I have fucked him over on the receipt, but I would have called his boss and explained why I wouldn't be ordering pizza from their establishment any longer.  As a consumer, I have choices.  I can motivate and create action with my wallet.
