Define "top."  I think I could name five better:

Favre
Brady
Manning
Brees
Ryan

Rodgers is good, but he's still only one who declared early to have success in the NFL.  Odds are against Clausen leaving school a year early.

He is 4th in passer rating (103.3) currently behind Brees, Favre and Rivers.

Interesting.

So you would take Rodgers over Manning, Brady, and Ryan?  What about McNabb?

I think I might take a healthy Kurt Warner over Aaron Rodgers.

But still.  The point stands.  There is one successful quarterback in the NFL that left his junior year.  Odds are still against Clausen having any kind of success.  Based on statistics and history, he'd be better off staying at Notre Dame even if it means learning a new offense.

And even for the one success who left early, we can't forget he got there and sat for 3 years too and was 24-25 years old when he finally became a starter.  Clausen is 22 right now, but losses at least 3 years because of his gayness in the picture posted above earlier and the one below.

Over Ryan? In a heartbeat. Why the fuck is a sophmore QB for the loser assed Falcons even in the discussion.

Over Manning and Brady? Not a chance.  Just saying Rodgers has turned into a good QB. Packers wouldnt have went wrong either way last year.

I really think it had more to do with the new impending salary cap limits for rookies in 2011 that helped his decision. I think it may be weighing on McClain's mind as well.

And yes JA, I am beginning to wonder about Clausen's "affiliation". Too many pictures to be a coincidence. LOL

This tells me all I need to know about future conversations with you concerning NFL football.

Matt Ryan > Aaron Rodgers.  In a heartbeat.
