ONOES!!  COLD WHITE FLUFFY STUFF IZ FALLIN FROM SKIE!!  HALP!! HOUSTON WE HAZ PROBLUM!!

Holy shit.  You would think the world was absolutely coming to an end just because we may get 1-3 inches of snow in Houston.  The local weathermen have not creamed like this since Ike... and they are totally off the charts on the "Ridiculous Hype" meter.

On the other hand, my boss told us all to stay at home today, so Spencer and I are sitting here chilling... katie's school was not closed, so she won't get to join the party until later... and there would actually have to be a blizzard before Carl would consider missing a day of work... but we are planning a fire and hot chocolate and a movie or three tonight.

That is, UNLES DA SNO KILLZ US ALL!!11!!

Already have marshmallows on standby.

We got flakes and a very temporary light dusting/accumulation on roof tops and car hoods last year.  And I remember 2004, we were standing in our driveway on Christmas Eve, wearing shorts and tshirts, and someone commented on the ash falling from the sky - but it turned out to be snow! Some homes north of Houston actually got accumulation on their roofs.  It never made it to the ground at my house, but it was funny, shorts and snow - that was Katie's first Christmas.

This may actually stick to the ground for a little while - supposed to be below freezing tonight.
