Water off a duck's back. It's amazing how this loss doesn't affect me the way a spuat loss would have affected them. Was it because Auburn wasn't expected to win? NO. I can't explain it, but I'm not upset at all. I guess it's because I love my team regardless. Also, they gave 100% effort, which is all that can be expected. The last drive of spuat proved that my D was gassed and earlier mistakes proved to be the killer in sealing the win for Auburn.
I believe Auburn people are a rare breed of individuals, in that, we love our school and our team. We love them in the right way that proves to bring out the best in the individual on and off the field. That's what makes us different and better as people. Therefore any win by spuat will not hurt us. We know deep down in our hearts that we are better people because of the way we carry ourselves year around, not just on Iron Bowl day. And, we love our players as individuals and not some commodity to invested in. We support them emotionally, physically and spiritually. I know for a fact that no spuat fan would have cheered after the game had spuat lost. Instead, they would have gone home and beat their wives, LOL. So there you have it, some of the differences between Auburn people and the redneck spuat fans.
Better luck next year Bamers.
