But we accomplished several things:

** Gave Urban Meyer a leg up on his game plan.

**  Proved bammer needs the other team to beat itself in order to win a game.

** Cost Mark Ingram his Heisman.

Bammers, enjoy it while you can.  You still have 4 more to go before the "streak" is a legit streak.

And unfortunately, at the end of the day, you are still bammer fans - so suck it.

As much as I hate to say it, we didn't cost Ingram the Heisman.

If he comes out next week and runs through Florida's defense and helps Bama win, he'll get it.

His performance against Auburn sure as hell did not help his cause.  Plus, he appeared to be injured, so running thru Spikes and Co is a big if - that's a big if even if he is healthy.  I did not see what caused him to come out of the game, but that could make a huge difference in the Florida game.

And Colt McCoy came up big against A&M last night - the Aggies hung in there, but McCoy never broke a sweat.  Right now, he is the guy to beat, and I will bet you that the talking heads will agree.

Then, there's always Tebow.

The bammers have already started saying two wins is a "streak"... I am just pointing out that to bammers that one should not count one's streaks unless they are in one's tighty whities...

No, it didn't help.  It'll give people something to talk about.  But starting Sunday, we will hear more overhype of the SECCG than ever before.  Every single voter will watch that game.

I think McCoy is clearly the favorite.  He has been phenomenal all year...really his whole career.  I think he has a 72% completion percentage.  That's unreal.

And the kid runs just as well as Tebow.  He doesn't bruise them like a fullback, but he knows how to burn defenses with his legs.

Well, last year's win didn't count just because. This year's doesn't count because it was so close. If we win next year, whats it going to be?

Screw moral victories.  Add this one to the KY, Georgia and Bama was in a position to win column and came up short.

This one wasn't in the same ball park as teh Georgia game.  I am pissed off, but proud of the overall effort.  I couldn't say that after either the UK or UGA games.

I'm glad it wasn't 36-0. but I don't want us to become Mike Shula wannabe Moral Victories.  I do believe that our program is heading in a good direction, but losing these close ones suck.

Yup.  Too many opportunities late in the 3rd and early in the 4th with good to very good field position not to score at least a field goal.  Giving them 6 points off a long punt return and an interception didn't help the cause either.

Allbarn played an awesome game. I think Gene threw everything he had at Alabama and even changed his defense up a good bit. It was a great game.

Sorry to disagree...actually no I'm not.  It's one thing to not claim a moral victory...there are none, but to go out of your way with some halfassed non-sense and compare this coaching and playing effort to those other two games in order to make sure no bammer thinks you've claimed a moral victory, is well, stupid!

Water off a duck's back. It's amazing how this loss doesn't affect me the way a spuat loss would have affected them. Was it because Auburn wasn't expected to win? NO. I can't explain it, but I'm not upset at all. I guess it's because I love my team regardless. Also, they gave 100% effort, which is all that can be expected. The last drive of spuat proved that my D was gassed and earlier mistakes proved to be the killer in sealing the win for Auburn.

I believe Auburn people are a rare breed of individuals, in that, we love our school and our team. We love them in the right way that proves to bring out the best in the individual on and off the field. That's what makes us different and better as people. Therefore any win by spuat will not hurt us. We know deep down in our hearts that we are better people because of the way we carry ourselves year around, not just on Iron Bowl day. And, we love our players as individuals and not some commodity to invested in. We support them emotionally, physically and spiritually. I know for a fact that no spuat fan would have cheered after the game had spuat lost. Instead, they would have gone home and beat their wives, LOL. So there you have it, some of the differences between Auburn people and the redneck spuat fans.

Better luck next year Bamers.

I don't know if I'd take it this far.  I agree that our two fanbases are different, and we are more prone to being supportive of our team than they are.  That may be demographics; it may be the persona of the school.

I do know that last year at this time, I was dog cussing a bunch of people and I was on three message boards 24/7 waiting to see Tuberville fired and a new coach hired.

I probably wouldn't cheer our team either if we were ranked #2 in our super-coach's 3rd season and lost to an unranked, talent depleted Alabama squad.

Fuck, we won and I'm not really cheering too much. How can I sit here and get all that happy about beating the AU squad we faced when we play UF next week? If we play like that in the SECCG we are going to lose, period. I just can't be happy about that.
