What in God's water-filled planet gives you the idea that our RBs are comparable to Bama's?
Position breakdown:
QB - Auburn.
They're about tied, honestly. I like Chris Todd more, however, because I think he'll take more chances than McElroy. McElroy is a bit conservative, and I think he worries about making mistakes. Not saying Chris Todd is great at anything, but I still like him better.
RB - Bama.
It's not even close. I love Ben Tate to death, and he is a productive running back. However, Ingram is a workhorse with 800+ yards after contact. Trent Richardson is no slouch either coming in for clean up.
WR - Auburn.
Darvin Adams is Mr. Consistency. Terrell Zachery is a big play guy. Fannin has potential to hit a big play, he's just inconsistent. Julio Jones with all his talent isn't playing as well as Adams this year. Marquis Maze has big play potential, but I haven't seen him go up and grab the ball like Zachery has. And as for Darius Hanks, he's similar to Fannin. You see him to some good stuff every once in a while.
TE - Bama.
Uuummm...Tommy Trotty anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Colin Peak is a good tight end, and Trott is still at the bar drinking. Not even close here.
OL - Bama.
For what they do, Bama's o-line has been impeccable. They bulldoze guys out of the way, and they set up the passing game. They don't win the experience category, but our experienced veterans make rookie mistakes constantly.
DL - Bama.
This is going to be a wash. Bama's DL is one of the best in the country. I might take Coleman over Dareus if they were both on the same defense. But Coleman is limited with his lack of help on the interior.
LB - Bama.
Once again, a stout unit led by an all-american. We've got four guys with scholarships.
CB - Bama.
Kareem Jackson and Javier Arenas can man up against anyone in the country. Our guys can't man up against Furman's receivers.
FS/SS - Bama.
Mark Barron delivers the big hit, and Robby Green is the athletic ball hawk.
K - Bama
Byrum has been Mr. Reliable, but I can't think of too many situations this year where he had a lot of pressure before a kick. Tiffin has more experience, and he's won quite a few ball games with his consistent kicking.
P - Auburn
Has anyone else noticed that we're booming the ball pretty well lately? Let's hope this keeps up.
KR/PR - Bama.
I think Arenas is one of the better punt returners in SEC history. We don't return punts. We drop them.
