Why in the hell did we play AT Missouri State? Really? Why?

I know we aren't a big time program, but we can at least hang our hat on being in the SEC. I would doubt any other team in the conference would play AT Missouri State. What the fuck? This sucks...

We should be 0-2 against Niagra and Missouri St. This year is going to fucking BLOW...

There would be no last-minute comeback for Auburn's basketball team this time around.

Missouri State established a lead in the first half and kept Auburn down in the second half in scoring a 73-62 win Monday night in Springfield, Mo.

Auburn rallied to beat Niagara in the final minutes in the season-opener last Friday, but Missouri State, playing its first game of the season, was too much for the Tigers. Auburn played its second straight game without 3-pointer shooter Tay Waller, who is out with a strained quad.

"I thought it was pretty evident in the game our turnovers were the big difference in the game," said Auburn coach Jeff Lebo. "Eight assists and 25 turnovers will get you beat. Shooting the basketball 5-of-24 from 3-point range will get you beat on most nights, especially on the road."

Lucas Hargrove led Auburn with 24. DeWayne Reed scored 12. Adam Leonard led Missouri State with 14.

NO comment, it's too early in the season, but I don't like where it's headed.

I called my brother last night to tell him about this game. He just sat in silence for a few seconds. Wondered how many 3's were missed and FT's were missed. We are planning on going to the A&M game on Dec 1. Since we both live around Huntsville, add to the fact that my wife is pregnant and doesn't feel like going all the way to Auburn to catch a game, we figured this would be a great one to go to. Now I'm not that excited about going.

I have come around to your way of thinking on Lebo. I hate it. I am not hopeful for this year. I really thought he was gonna have what it took.

New arena and new corch in the same year.
