Yes, the previous two posts by Argo and RWS definitely debunk the stereotypes that cops were the kids that got picked on in High School...and now they use their badge to make up for their inadequacies.

We've got Shrfff's, police dispatchers and attorneys about to get after it in here.

I like where this is heading...

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

I don't think I would call it a hatred, but the friction between cops and defense attornies comes from cops putting a total piece of shit in jail for say, beating the shit out of his wife or kid, and defense attornies actually defending that. While it is a professional thing, and while the attorney might even think his own client is guilty, its still a matter of an attorney trying to make a case that a cop was wrong for putting somebody in jail for beating his wife or kids.

We certainly have a few guys that had to have been picked on in school....alot. You're going to have that everywhere. I don't think thats a large majority of cops, though. But hey, you could have simply not broken the law, and we wouldn't even be having this conversation. Situations like this are why I joined the "Instead of fuck the police, how about you just don't break the law, retard" group on Facebook.

Yeah, I'm not a defense attorney though.  I just don't like the way some cops attempt to screw people because of the lack of knowledge of their legal rights.

Well in the cops defense they probably don't know the person's rights either.

Don't mess with Lawyers.....

A Mafia Godfather finds out that his bookkeeper, Enzo, has cheated him
out of 10 million bucks.

His bookkeeper is deaf.   That was the reason he got the job in the first place.
It was assumed that Enzo would hear nothing that he might have to
testify about in court.

When the Godfather goes to confront Enzo about his missing $10 million,
he takes along his lawyer who knows sign language.
The Godfather tells the lawyer, "Ask him where the 10 million bucks is that
he embezzled from me."

The lawyer, using sign language, asks Enzo where the money is..

Enzo signs back, "I don't know what you are talking about."

The lawyer tells the Godfather, "He says he doesn't know what you are
talking about."
The Godfather pulls out a pistol, puts it to Enzo's temple and says, "Ask him again!"
The lawyer signs to Enzo, "He'll kill you if you don't tell him."

Enzo signs back, "OK. You win!
The money is in a brown briefcase, buried behind the shed in my cousin
Bruno's backyard in Woodbridge !"

The Godfather asks the lawyer, "What did he say?"

The lawyer replies, " He says you don't have the balls to pull the trigger.."

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

I jest not, Cops hate lawyers more than any other profession I have come to realize.  I'm sure that's not true for all of them, but when they ask me what I do and I tell them, I always get the same response.  Smirk on their face, as I'm sure they are thinking "I'm going to get this fucker good."

While true for the most part...just being nice to them usually works pretty good.  Still there are some that will write their own mother.  Cops are not widely known to hate nurses either...in fact most like them and give them a pass...one, actually a couple recently wrote a nurse friend of mine.  So don't feel so bad...it may not be personal.

Ok, someone answer this for me.  Why do they always ask where you work or who your employer is?  Is it really any of their business?

They can ask you anything...you're only obligated to give them your name (or other info necessary to reasonably ID you) and a good address.  If you answer the other questions, you do so voluntarily.

The friction between cops and defense attorneys generally comes from the cop's lack of knowledge of Constitutional Rights, or belief that the people they arrest have none.
