Keep up gump. His point was that they rely on Ingram more, meaning that don't have much else that is very effective on their offense. He has accounted for 1297 of Alabama's 4176 yards...or 31%.
Tate has accounted for 24% of Auburn's total yards because we've had other offensive players that have been effective....hence his example of our receivers having 22 TDs to Alabama's 13. We have four other players with over 450 yards of total offense. Alabama has 1.
My post was aimed at you, who implied that Tate having more carries means Auburn leans on him more, which isn't true. I wasn't trying to make anyone look stupid...you just happen to walk into that on your own.
Wouldn't the fact that Auburn has 4 players with over 450 of offense make it harder to key on Tate, this making it easier for him to get his yards?
I'm not going to get into the pissing match here, but
EVERYONE knows Ingram is the focal point of the Bama offense, yet he still has 1200+ yards. And with over 700 yards
AFTER contact, it's not as if he's running behind a line that's getting a 10 yard push on every hand off. Ingram is 170 yards away from breaking Alabama's all time rushing record for a season. To say he's just another good back in the SEC is seriously downplaying his talent.
For the record, Bama's offensive line is no where near as good as last years. Carpenter isn't All-American caliber, Vlachos isn't All-American caliber and Barrett Jones is a freshman. Those guys aren't near as good as the players they are replacing.
