I've done it a few myself. Did one of my daughters that turned out spectacularly.

I'm open to anything, though. I expect to set up the shop in mid January, early February. Will be a small operation to begin with, but I've already got two photogs lined up. One does mostly nature stuff and I can send her on the art show circuit to sell that garbage. The other does portraits and family pictures. I've yet to find somebody who really wants to do weddings. They're a PITA.

Figure I'll give it a year. Doesn't have to be my sole source of income so if I can bring in enough work to offset the cost and make a little bit on top of that, it's good. Would like to have it to the point in five years that it can be my retirement hobby, though. Figure in this area there's probably 60-70k a year of work without scratching real hard.
