Auburn 30, Georgia 28
Auburn will be challenged by AJ Green, but the other playmakers for Georgia are ordinary at best. The Bulldogs run game is sporadic and if they become one dimensional on offense, it favors Auburn even with a porous defense. For Auburn, establishing the running game and complimenting with a passing attack that goes down the field are keys to controlling the game on offense. This one should be a shoot-out because neither defense is great at stopping the opposition. I think Auburn can gain an edge with  the run game. Auburn will need to capitalize on every opportunity in the game in order to get the win. I think they can, but I think it's going to be a nail-biter.

Ole Miss 23, Tennessee 17.
Both teams played the traditional tune up last week and won handily. In conference play, they appear to be heading in different directions. Tennessee has steadily improved over the year while Ole Miss has failed to deliver in the important games on the schedule. The UT offense is better, but the Rebels defense will be as stern a test as they’ve seen all year. The same could be said for the Ole Miss offense against the Vols defense. In the end, this one is a must win for both teams as they are trying to make bowl eligibility a reality. For Tennessee, that was once a distant goal. For Ole Miss, it’s a consolation prize for what will ultimately be chalked up as a disappointing season. In spite of all that, Ole Miss has the horses to make dents in the Tennessee defense and has enough talent on defense to contain the Vols running game.

Kentucky 30, Vanderbilt 10
Kentucky and Vanderbilt are both beat up after working through the toughest part of the schedule. Kentucky still has weapons on offense that Vanderbilt has no answer for and the Commodores offense is simply dreadful.

Florida 34, South Carolina 13.
South Carolina’s slide (noted in last week’s report) continued against Arkansas while Florida played with their food…err opponent, Vanderbilt, last week before posting about win. The Gamecocks are as inconsistent as a team can be and that doesn’t bode well against the fast, attacking defense of the Gators. Florida doesn’t need a lot of flash on offense to get the job done here. If this is the last test of the year for Tebow and company and it looks like South Carolina is going to make it an open book exam. Florida 34, South Carolina 13.

Alabama 29, Mississippi 10.

MSU has won two of the last three games and is generally one of the more pesky opponents on the Tide’s schedule. Alabama passed its final test of the regular season with flying colors last week against LSU leaving many to wonder if Alabama will be “up” for the remaining games on the schedule. I’d venture to say Nick Saban isn’t going to let his team lose focus down the stretch this year. MSU will be a tough out, but Alabama’s running game and attacking defense will simply wear out the Bulldogs.

LSU 24, La. Tech 21.
La. Tech isn’t a bad team, but they don’t have the horses to hang with LSU’s defense. The Tigers offense has been up and down all year and they’ll have to make the rest of the run without RB Charles Scott and QB Jordan Jefferson. If LSU doesn’t shore up the turnovers, they will be primed for an upset.

Arkansas 38, Troy 17.
Troy has lost two of their three out of conference games by a combined score 87-20 and one of those losses was to Florida. Arkansas is playing better on every side of the ball and is loaded with explosive weapons all over the offense and the opportunistic defense creates opportunities to flip the field. Troy is good, but they aren’t good enough to take down even a mid-level SEC team.
