Coach Troop and Coach Malzahn have stated that they love where they're at and that they don't plan on going anywhere.  They've said that until the right job opens up, they're aren't interested....sorry bammers.

Regarding the Memphis Job, here's the names that I'm hearing (the skreets, of course):
Terry Bowden
Jeff Bower
Rick Stockstill
Bud Foster

Dude I am glad your coaches are not leaving. I am a strange Alabama fan. I want the barn to win every game they play except when they play Alabama.

"So I want everybody to think here for a second, how much does this game mean to you? 'Cause if it means something to you, you can't stand still. You understand? You play fast! You play strong! You go out there and dominate the man you're playing against, and you make his ass quit! That's our trademark! That's our M.O.... as a team! That's what people know us as!" ~ Nick Saban

They all say that.

Bower would be a good get for them.  I still don't know why USM ran him off.

You can keep a wooden stake in your trunk
On the off-chance that the fairy tales ain't bunk
And Imma keep a bottle of that funk
To get motel parking lot, balcony crunk.

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.' That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.'

I think Memphis would be a bad gig for Terry Bowden.  I actually think with a couple more good years up in N. Alabama, he will get a pretty good job.  I feel sorry for who gets him, but who knows, maybe he learned a lesson over the last 10 years and will turn out OK

I think Gus needs to stay here and have 2-3 good years. Then he may get a chance as HC at a pretty good mid major. I don't see him going anywhere else as an OC.
He has been a HC for several years. It was HS, but some of the coordinators that move up to the head spot have not even had that experience.

I think Auburn would sink to Barfield levels with the quick departure of Malzahn. But I see him seeing this recruiting class through even though the money will be hard to turn down. Then again, perhaps he is built to be a career coordinator. It does happen.
