Still don't like the way it's being handled. Not to mention that his wife can't seem to stop running her suck about it. I mean let the old man keep some dignity. Damn.

Right now, I'd say it's a 40/60 shot of him going. I initially thought Harbaugh would be strongly considered, but he apparently burned some bridges in Ann Arbor.

The Louisville job will be open, too.

It's going to be an interesting off season.

I say the Florida job will be open if Weis gets the pink slip.

1. Groh - UVA - Agree. Good spot for Tubs, in my opinion.
2. Bowden - FSU - Nope. He knows where the bodies are at FSU. He buried most of them. 2011.
3. Rodriguez - Michigan - He'll get another year. Beating Ohio State this year would buy him more time.
4. Fat boy - Maryland - Probably.
5. Weis - Notre Dame - Not sure here. I can see it because the direction of that program is in doubt, but I don't know who they would get. Not Meyer.

If the Doomers don't get Meyer, I would think Brian Kelly would be the next guy they'd go after.  Or Saban.  I don't see Saban leaving bama, but I'm sure they would try for him...why not?

Kelly was 118-35-2 at Grand Valley State.  Then three years at Central Michigan went 4-7, 6-5, and 9-4.

Now 31-6 at Cincy.  Notre Dame should go after him while he's available (available meaning another top program hasn't already stolen him).

Terry Bowden to Louisville maybe?

I also think Tuberville would be a good fit at Virginia, and I'm sure he knows the ACC is open to any program ready to take a step above mediocrity.  The Techs and Miami are the only one's doing anything.  What happened to Butch Davis' Tar Heels?

That's funny.  I thought it would be the Alabama one.

or is that next year when RR gets the axe.  I can't keep up.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

If he would have left in the past few years when he should have, I doubt it would be handled this way. I think Diddy doesn't want to let it go, even though its painfully clear his time is up. Thats why we're seeing what we are seeing.

Never even considered them. That job will go to either an assistant or a Fran/Tot kind of guy.

Gus is the number 1 replacement per a poll at the commercial appeal.
Buy or sell?
What would Dyer do if Gus took the Memphis job?
Money?
Hard to pass up a million a year.
I think Gus would be better suited in staying here at Auburn for a few years and proving that his method will work in the SEC.
A million dollar a year job is hard to turn down when you are only 5 years removed from high school.

Sell. Another 2 years on the plains and he can get a really decent gig with way more money. Memphis would be his Iowa State.

Actually, I think Memphis would be a great starter job for Gus.  Memphis is a great area for recruiting, and he's close enough to Arkansas to pick up the stud high school players that Petrino has no use for.

I disagree.  I think Malzahn would rock Conference USA.  He'd have (granted, second tier) offensive recruits begging to get an offer.  That league wouldn't have enough speed on defense to slow it down.  It'd be Tulsa in the Southeast.

I'm buying.  If Memphis gets down to offering a coordinator like Malzahn and offerin $1 million+, he'll be gone before January.

And to add - that's the name of the game.  Assistant coaches mostly want bigger gigs.  No matter how successful we are, Malzahn will eventually leave for something else.

That's one reason why I dislike having an unconventional offense.  If Malzahn leaves, we'll be stuck looking for another "genius" just like him.

No no no...we'll just promote the O-line and the special teams coach and make them co-offensive coordinators. They know the system.  Easy transition.  It's worked before...right?
