I don't blame him for finally giving in and saying we were going down the tubes (as nearly everyone on here did).

There's a high probability that we'll be 7-3 after Saturday.  We have a pretty good chance of going 8-3.  We could go 9-3 if Bama stumbles a little (not likely).   I think before the season any of us would take 7-5, 8-4, or better...   The ship is floating anyway...

I agree. It's like when we talk bad about Auburn or say that Auburn will lose. It's OK if we do it, because we are fans. It is bullshit when an outsider doesn't and they can fuck off...
