So for today's game....
« on: October 31, 2009, 10:48:43 AM »
I'm at home today.  Huge halloween party tonight (you're all invited by the way :P  ) and I have a shoot this afternoon with a client, so I'm not able to make the game.  Let's set aside the fact that I haven't finished decorating for the party and I'm in the middle of an end of the month billing nightmare that needs to be finished by kickoff.

Let me move to my point.  What am I doing for the game?  I'm getting in all blue.  I had to dig to find a solid blue Auburn shirt, but I found one.  And I'm in navy blue running pants.  I look like a bastard mix of something from Office Space and The Wedding Singer.

Why?  I really have no fucking idea what.  I guess it's the thought of supporting my team and supporting ANY junk, bo-bo hype that might squeak us a notch higher towards the realm of "shit that doesn't suck... at least that bad" is worth a shot.  Maybe some eternal hope lives inside of me that says "if I can just find the right, goofy ass combo of what socks I wear, and washing this pair of boxers on the Thursday before gameday, then Auburn will turn this ship around."

Yes, I know.  None of you really care.  We've established this.  But I can't help it.  It's like when I scream Voodoo Chicken before an opponents place kick I truly expect the great black magic chicken to cast his spell and cause the ball to go wide.  Everyone looks at me, but when they MISS one, I scream like I just changed the world.  That doesn't help the looks.  But that's for another discussion, and lots more booze.

Is anyone else going to get Navy'd up for the game........... but not going to it?  Or did I just start hitting the sauce a little too early?

I'm at home today too. I kind of have it in my head that I'm the curse, so I didn't go.

But I am sporting the navy blue. Auburn jersey (I usually only sleep in them) and blue sweatpants. Not the best look ever but I'll wear it every week if we win today. About to hit the sauce. ;)

A national championship is a wonderful thing, but if you're not enough without it, you'll never be enough with it.
