Okay, I'm not happy. The Braves traded Javier Vasquez to the damn Yankees. While he may not seem like a household name, most people who really follow MLB know this guy is one of the top pitchers in the game. Has been for a while. He was 15-10 .287 ERA for a mediocre Braves team. Finished 4th in the Cy Young this year.
The Braves got a solid everyday player in Melky Cabrera, a career .270 hitter but in my opinion, if the Bravos wanted to contend (And they're really close to doing that) they needed to get off the wallet, sign Vasquez and go find a big stick in the outfield or first base. So far, they've given up one of the most consistent pitchers in the game, signed a .270 hitter along with a couple of 40 year old bullpen guys.
