I'm pumped. Ready to grill some steak, have a few drinks and watch Auburn Football over at Tanman's place. I'm pumped that we're still 5-0 on a season that was supposed to be beyond tanked by now. I'm pumped that Chris Todd DOESN'T throw like a girl, and Kodi Burns doesn't HAVE to throw at ALL. Ben Tate? Pumped! Ontario McCaleb? Pumped! Gus? Pumped! Trooper? Pumped! Gene shaking off the haters? Pumped!
Now... to the bad part.
Our defense couldn't tackle (get ready for it Tanner) a dead body wrapped in velcro if they were wearing felt uniforms. Our special teams makes babies cry. And Arkansas has traditionally been a weakness for us.
So, despite my enthusiasm for the season and the game, I'm not delusional. Don't get me wrong, I truly think we'll win, because of 2 dozen reasons... mostly it has to do with our offense being able to shoot it out. But I'm also prepared to take a close loss over in pig-fucker-land, (No offense, titz) likely because if I do that, then maybe I won't be an emotional train wreck for the next week if the unlikely happens.
Is anyone else thinking the best, but preparing for the worst? Or am I just a "glass half empty" kind of guy?
*sigh* Gameday... get y0 fuckin' grape drank on.
