Well, it looks like the socialists in charge of Congress are coming to the sad conclusion that they simply can't afford to provide a nationalized healthcare plan to everybody in America including illegals. The CBO is revising their last estimate (which, by the way, was somewhere above $1 Trillion), in the meantime Dingy Harry Reid has been forced to stall any discussions.
When will these Tax and Spend Dems EVER learn? Well, at least there's eight of them who seem to be responsible enough to
allow us lowly voters time to review the proposed mess even as the 'cost curve' bends towards the stratosphere.

Deficit May Prove Obstacle for Senate Health Measure (Update1)
By Laura Litvan and Kristin Jensen
Oct. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Concerns about the federal budget deficit may thwart efforts by Senate Democrats to pass legislation this month calling for the biggest expansion of the U.S. health-care system since Medicare’s creation in 1965.
The Senate Finance Committee, which had planned to approve its version of a health-care bill as early as today, scrapped a vote to give the Congressional Budget Office time to complete a cost assessment. The delay threatens to dash plans by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to start debate in the full Senate next week after combining the measure with one from the chamber’s health committee.
“CBO has a lot of work to do,” said West Virginia Senator Jay Rockefeller, one of the finance panel’s 13 Democrats. He said the panel’s vote may be delayed for at least a week. Committee Chairman Max Baucus, a Montana Democrat, said he remains “hopeful” the CBO will deliver an estimate tomorrow.
Lawmakers attempting to curb skyrocketing health-care costs and cover tens of millions of uninsured people have already missed President Barack Obama’s original deadline of August for legislation. They have been bogged down by issues such as how to pay for a bill that might top $900 billion and whether to create a government-run insurance program.
Pressure From Democrats
Further clouding the timetable, a group of eight Democrats whose votes could be key to passage called on Reid, a Nevada Democrat, to delay final votes on the measure until the CBO estimates the full cost and the public has 72 hours to review it. Among the signatories were Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas, Jim Webb of Virginia and Evan Bayh of Indiana.
...
[Sen.] Conrad [D-ND] estimated the percentage of people covered by the new plan might drop to 92 percent or 93 percent. [Sen.] Baucus [D-MT] batted away suggestions that the percentage might drop to as low as 90 percent even as the bill’s costs rise to $1 trillion.
...
And here I thought that the First Stimulus Bill was a whopper of a Boondoggle.
