Well, from your account above, it sounded like you knew what you were doing. Hell, just looking at the original statement, which was well punctuated and articulated, with only one or two errors in spacing, didn't seem to be a post from somebody who was drunk and didn't know what they were saying. You even managed to hyphenate correctly. You are the best drunk typer in the world. Congratulations. Personally, I don't make it a habit to jump on message boards if I drink. But to each his own.
Just because I had had some wine does not mean I was shitfaced. I was merely translating "a touch of the grape" into bammer speak. I was buzzed, but I do not make a habit of getting "drunk" on a Sunday night. I also do not make a habit of drinking expensive wine to get drunk. That is what vodka is for. I am not a bammer, for whom every night has the potential to be a Natty Light night.
More importantly, I could spell and punctuate correctly in my sleep. Not a big deal. When one is well educated, one's skills do not necessarily fall off just because one's inhibitions and self-restraint are somewhat compromised. I realize that the well educated part leaves out most of you bammers, so you will just have to take my word for it.
