Isn't UT favored in this game? I think people are reading too much into the way UT played the Gaytors. I never thought that game would be the massive blowout everyone predicted. I thought Florida would handle them (And they did) but not by 30-40 points.
Two things about that game, UF was heading in for a score and a 30-7 lead when they turned it over, if I wasn't too drunk at the X-Gate to recall correctly. That game at that particular point, was in fact about to get ugly. Second, UT was doing the ONE thing you can be successful at against UF. Line up and play smashmouth. Crybaby Corch Meyer was correct though in saying UT didn't play to win. They just didn't. Even when they needed two scores and time running down, they continued to slam the ball at Florida.
Having said all that, UT will come right at Auburn too. MSU was the only team that has tried to pound the ball for a good part of the game with 240 lb. Dixon. Auburn held him pretty much in check all night. I just don't see where UT has the weapons to outscore Auburn. And they are banged up on D so I don't look for them to come close to shutting this offense down either. Bottom line...Fuck those Cheese Puffs.
