First, reporters are apparently idiots. "Coach can you explain how important it is for receivers to block on long plays?"

Second, they are fawning teenage girls.

"Talk about how Greg McElroy is so much like Tim Tebow in his leadership..."

"McElroy is going to keep coming up more and more in the Heisman discussion. Would you consider a PR campaign for him?"

Everyone that covers Alabama football should have to meet a requirement of having lived outside of the South East for at least 2 years of their adult life. I've never seen people so stuck in their own little ignorant bubble world (aside from Hollywood liberals).
