Still Not Ranked.... Ole Miss took a nose dive, as did Miami.... Fuck the ALL HYPE world of the polls that have defined this year so far.

AU hasn't played anybody yet and should be ranked, but Miami didn't deserve any love for beating two ranked teams? I think if AU beats UT, you guys should at least move to #22. UT has no offense, but has a stout defense. So far I've been fairly impressed with AU's offense, and in all honesty, I was wrong about some of my thoughts preseason. If you guys cut through UT offensively, that will be pretty damn impressive. Right now their defense is #8 in the nation. This will be a good indicator how this offense will do during SEC play.

Well I certainly think Auburn should be in the Top 25 but if Auburn beats the Vols, like RWS has already stated, we will be. Auburn didnt come out playing too well at first, which may of hurt us in rankings. The whole team seemed underwhelmed until the coaches chewed their asses out on the sidelines. The D sure was having some troubles at times. So what is the status of the injuries?

Yes, they should be ranked. Regardless of how they've looked in periods of a game, they've handled their business and handled it well. They are an undefeated SEC team that is one of the top scorig offenses in the country. Auburn may get beat by the Viles this week but right now, they deserve to be in the top 25.

and you've played one ranked team and deserve to be #3? To be quite honest I don't really care where we are ranked, IMO the rankings only matter if you are going to make it to the MNC and we don't have the depth for that yet. However, I still think that Auburn should be ranked, there are a ton of teams that haven't played anyone and are still ranked. It just proves to me what a joke it is.

We can do all the Bama Auburn comparisons, and talk about how much bullshit it is that Bama is where they are, but just like Bama is at #3, it's because of preseason nothing, and an educated guess from last year. Auburn's not in because nobody knows shit about them yet, and with a new coaching staff and being miserable last year, nobody looked into it enough to realize we still had most of the same players that beat Tebow two years ago and was predicted to win the west just LAST year.

It's just typical shit. It also doesn't have to do shit with somebody looking at our game and evalutating anything. These writers get only hours to rank all the teams and vote... You can't tell me that writers in different parts of the country that don't know shit about Auburn anyway have any clue on how, who or with what we've played this year.

It'll only change when and IFFF we beat Tennessee next week, and that might only because they've been honking the Monte Kiffen bobo for weeks and Kiffen's mouth keeps his name in the ESPN headlines.

We win impressively at TN and then Arkansas, we'll be top 15 before we get back to play Kentucky. THAT will only because the networks and media will start to pimp the LSU games and the Alabama games, not because we should or shouldn't be ranked that high.

It's going to take YEARS of sustained success to be given a top 25 start every year like before.

I think its still early to worry about it. We just aren't used to being in this position....on the outside working our way in. Remember last year...we were #10 when faced LSU, and why? We looked completely lost on offense up to that game and were living off of preseason expectations. I point that out to remind everyone that we've been on the other side of this too.

Give it until the LSU game. If we beat Tennessee, they will be 2-3. If we beat Arkansas, they will be 2-3. The Corndogs will be the first "respected" team we face. After we beat their sorry asses, then check the polls.

As odd as it sounds, I think AU would gain more respect by beating an unranked UT team than LSU. I know LSU is highly ranked, and all of this, but lets be serious here. Last year's LSU team was teh suck. This year's team isn't any better. I mean, having to make a goalline stand against MSU and winning only because of a horrible play call by MSU? You wanna talk about teams that don't deserve to be ranked as highly as they are, LSU is squarely in that discussion. UT has a fucking stout defense. Not all that strong on offense, but can't argue with that defense. If they had an offense, they would have beat UF. Plain and simple. Maybe I'm crazy, but from a respect standpoint, I think a win against UT is better than a win against an overranked waiting to be exposed LSU team.

There's a chance that they'll be undefeated when Auburn comes to town. If that's the case, ESPN will pimp the hell outta LSU. If Auburn is able to get by UT, Ark., then UK (This game scares the shit outta me, it's a sandwich game/over look game and it's coming after two away games that'll probably be very physical...then if LSU is able to beat UF, ESPN will pimp the LSU/AU game during the week of the UK game. Not even the Great HCs can keep his players thinking about the game at hand, every week, especially whenever the players turn on ESPN they hear ALL of the talkin' heads talking about the game the next week. Again that's if LSU is able to beat UF and Auburn is able to get by UT and Ark.)

Maybe in the sense of the polls its worth more, but to anybody that knows anything? Again, I think there would be more respect gained by beating UT than LSU. Anybody who thinks LSU will finish this season ranked in the top 10 is delusional. I would be surprised if they finished ranked, really. I honestly think UT is a better team than LSU. How the fuck LSU got ranked so highly in the pre-season, I'll never know. If you're ranked highly pre-season and you back that up during the season (i.e. UF), then fine. But LSU is in no way, shape, or form backing it up. Not even close. They're winning, but they haven't looked good doing it at any point during the season. Even against sub-par competition.

I see Georgia handling LSU, especially at home. There's something not quite right about this LSU club and just like lastyear, they're due to be exposed big time.

If Auburn gets past UT this week, I'll feel good about every game they play up until the Iron Bowl. Until and if we get our defensive shit straightened out, I won't be optimistic about that game.
