In his first news conference as AUBURN'S head coach in 1981, Pat Dye was asked this question:  "How long will it take you to beat Alabama"?  To which he responded, "Oh, about 60 minutes".

So far, pretty good game. AU has shown us that if they play a decent team, there will be issues. At this point, WVU has given AU ALOT of opportunities. But you have to credit AU as well, because they could have just as well pissed those opportunities away. Thats just part of football. You capitalize on the opponents mistakes. Right now, WVU is making ALOT of mistakes. AU's defense has stood up and is getting alot of pressure on Brown, which is key in disrupting the WVU offense.

I tried to watch, but it hurts my head to see such pitiful defensive play.  I thought I was watching the WAC.

That's a good way to look at it if you are a bama fan I guess. I agree with you to an extent, but Auburn has also given WVU a lot of opportunities as well. To come across that WVU is just giving Auburn the game would be wrong IMO...

Your head must have exploded if you watched Auburn in the first quarter then...

Comcast saved me.  I didn't even realize the game had started until I saw the score roll across the bottom at 14-0.  Apparently because of the delay, comcast felt I needed to watch Vandy and MSU.

No, I agree, its been pretty sloppy both ways. AU is taking advantage of opportunities, WVU isn't. Nobody wants to win this game, somebody just doesn't want to lose.

If WVU is smart, they run, run, and run some more. That DL depth issue will rear its ugly head around the 4th qtr if they are successful. WVU is playing some man coverage, and I'm astounded that they are doing it.

This is getting to be pathetic. This has to be the worse AU defense I can remember, and I go back a few years. Damn.

Those WVU fuckers are alot quicker than I thought they were. Brown isn't all that quick.....certainly not Noel Devine quick. Noel Devine is one slippery bastard.
