I STILL don't know if Chizik is up to the task, but his hire was the most perplexing in the history of college football. It was, on paper, the most idiotic thing that could have been done particularly in light of the situation and the statements Jacobs made during the process. As I told you MONTHS ago, that will never change. Because it is what it is. Period.
If it works out, it ISN'T the worst hire numbnuts, it might have not been what we all wanted, or what you expected, but if it works out, you can safely call it a "good hire". It's one area where looking at the past is based on fact and a determination can be made on facts. You declaring it the worst hire in college football (even if we ALLLL agreed at the time) was an OPINION, not fact and had an opportunity to prove itself one way or the other.
Sometimes you do a stupid thing and it ends up working out. We've already had this discussion. If you want to have it again, go back and re-read the last nine months of commentary. I'm not the least bit interested in explaining it to you AGAIN, because as history proves you'll come back and ask the same damn question again later.

You can't go back ANYWHERE and find where I have claimed that Chizik will be a slam dunk. YOU, and YOU alone created the "Chopper Cheerleader" deal in an effort to make me the opposite of your position. I think you'll find it hard to find where ANYONE did. However, it doesn't take a lot of digging to find several places where you have blown your stack calling Chizik everything and anything but a remote possibility for success. I've done nothing but point out how you're confusion for facts versus opinions, and declarations of failure were premature on an epic scale. Your arrogance so completely blatant that you discouraged ANY debate form ANYONE worth a damn, let alone new people that would like to join the board or discussion.
