from the oregonian...

Quote
BOISE -- It was the performance of a lifetime. A big-time coming out party for the new guy in charge and his disciplined, workmanlike team. It was a beautiful, proud performance by the Imperial Stormtroopers from the University of Oregon.

Every pass was caught. Every quarterback read was perfect. The Ducks' players were in control, focused and sportsmanlike.

They made you proud.

Then, pregame warm ups ended and they were disgusting.

punch here!

after the duck's meltdown last evening,  beaver fans across the valley have marked their calendars for a date with the rose bowl.

A precedent has already been set. He'll get an ice cream cone and a 1 quarter rest.

in eugene, it's two tokes of bong and 1 less pair of nike's.

This will make me the outsider on here, but to me?  The Boise player deserved to have the shit knocked out of him.  Taunting and pushing?  He laid hands on Blount first.  He shoved Blount.  And he got knocked the fuck out.  If you're gonna be such a fine example of winning with class, you should leave your helmet on, jackass.

Yeah, suspend Blount for a game or two - but don't ruin him because of it.  Heat of the moment and all that. it's not like he just walked up to the Boise player and hit him.  Boise guy started it.  Blount finished it.

Blount needs to be gone for the year.  That was thuggery on parade.  The worst thing to me was his own team mates trying to restrain him and he's taking shots at them..then going all psycho shit while coaches, security and anyone who can help is dragging his bitch ass out of the stadium.

Years ago, I'm watching a high school game down here that was in overtime.  Very heated game and after one running play, there was a big pile up.  As the players are al getting up, you all of a sudden see the refs and players jumping in trying to break up something.  One defender was at the bottom of the pile, had the running backs legs chicken winged and was STILL throwing jack hammer fists into the RB's cods.

I knew one of the refs and he said they immediately threw him out....his coach had him take his jersey off and all his equipment, threw him off the team and told him to get off the sidelines and find a ride home, back to Montgomery. That's the way you handle dumb asses like that.

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

Both Miami and Phil Fullmer immediately offered him a scholarship just out of habit last night. But he told them he had to check out Saban first.

i'll disagree about a 1 or 2 game suspension.  he should be gone.  earlier in the year blount was suspended and during fall camp he was ordered off the field by coach kelly.  blount had it coming to him after talking smack early this week.

I will stand by my opinion based solely on the facts in the story.  I had no knowlege of previous misconduct.  That does present a different spin on it.  Still, the Boise guy was in his face, and laid hands on Blount first.   He should be punished also.

His ass should be gone. No excuses. If he was so emotional over the loss why did he wait until the Boise player turned his head to nail him? Chicken shit.
As far as his pre-game comment:
Blount, however, was quoted in Sports Illustrated as saying, "We owe that team an ass-whuppin."

In his first news conference as AUBURN'S head coach in 1981, Pat Dye was asked this question:  "How long will it take you to beat Alabama"?  To which he responded, "Oh, about 60 minutes".

Apparently he wasn't kidding.
