No, I didn't drop trou...
For those of you who have attended a lot of college football games over the years, and Lord knows I have, the question is this...
You've been pointing to this game for a good part of the season. You know that not long from now, you'll walk through that portal and take in a sight that makes you stop for a second (Holding up a couple of hundred people behind you) and survey the field from end to end. That sight will give you chills and make you say, "Now THIS is what it's all about. This is what I came for. This is a little bigger than the others."
No, again it's not me dropping trou....get your mind out of the gutter.
For me, it may stem as much from the uniforms as anything else. There are just certain teams Auburn plays that just seeing the two teams on the field warming up and the clash of traditional colors...,gets my blood pumping like no other. Of course, for Auburn fans, the Bama game is a given. For me, there's two other games that I absolutely look forward to walking into that stadium and saying, "Now this is college football".
Auburn Home Blues vs. UGA Road Uni's
Auburn vs. LSU
Especially an early evening start with the sun setting and the lights illuminating the field at JHS. I'm not even talking about the magnitude of the game in any given year. It's more the tradition involved in those two teams butting heads. What about the Tahd faithful? Is it UT? The first time I walked in to Doak Campbell and saw FSU and The U warming up, that was pretty awesome too. I had seen numerous classic games between the two but to walk in and bang...there they are... Anyone else have games outside of Auburn that you look forward to?
