It's Gameday and....

I basically feel nothing.  Not sure if it's because we moved or because I've gotten older or because I've got a lot more responsibility than I used to or because other things have become more important.  Could be that I've gotten frustrated with Auburn from my daughter's experiences (or maybe their constant damn nickel and dime shit with the ePay stuff). Or maybe its because of Jacobs and Chizik. 

I used to wake up like it was Christmas.  Nervous, scared and excited.  Used to think about little else.  I've ALWAYS worn an Auburn shirt on the Friday before a game.  Since I was five or six I've done it.  Quit jobs that wouldn't allow me to. Didn't even cross my mind yesterday.  Wore green.  Lime green.  I had sideline passes and let them go for no particular reason. Just decided not to make the drive.

I don't like feeling nothing.  Maybe I should turn in my membership card. Seems sad.

I just walked in from putting the AU flags in the windows of the car and packing my gear for the trip.  I'm jacked and would be even more so had I gotten more than 3-4 hours of sleep.  With that amount of sleep, I should feel like I'm in college again.  It's time to get it on beeshes.

I am skeptical. That's nothing new.

But I started getting excited yesterday and it's only grown today.

I sense a quiet excitement around campus today. I still don't think we'll blow them away, but we should win and that's something to start with.
