Everybody knows....
« on: August 24, 2009, 05:16:47 PM »
This is funny.   Even though it is barbed and draws blood, it is funny.

Everyone in the world outside of Auburn, AL knows Gene Chizik is going to fail and get shit-canned within four years and go back to being an assistant. Just like everyone in the world outside of Tuscaloosa, AL knew Mike Shula would fail and get shit-canned within four years and go back to being an assistant.

You're aware of it, along with everyone else. Alabamians, Americans, North Koreans, Sudanese refugees, Brangelina's adopt-a-babies, Lenny Dykstra, Gene Chizik, Gene Chizik's pets, everyone.

eff this thread and all its participants.

Efeff you, too, dear.

Funny is funny.  Even when it's at your expense. Better learn to laugh.

If you can read those two things I linked and not find them at least moderately funny, well?  I just don't know you any more.

Yup, I see no differences in when Coach Sheila and when Coach Chizik came in....None whatsoever.  :eyeroll:  It is pretty funny though...but Auburn isn't Coach Chizik's first Head Coaching job and he isn't going from a position coach to a Head Coach at a Major University.  But, other than those two differences, they're pretty similar.

If you call 5-19 "head coaching", then fuck, you have pretty low expectations. Get ready to see one similarity this season, though; the deer in the headlights look. Shula invented it. Will Chizik perfect it?

Have you ever heard of saying "learn from your mistakes or you'll repeat them"?  You bammers had better get ready for another '07 season.  F-bombs from your savior will be perfected this year.

Dude... seriously.  The Gump4 articles were humor.  That's all.

PLEASE stop thumping your chest like a fucking gorilla and take a pause.  They were funny. End of story.

But for the record?  When it comes to success there's not that much difference.  And Shula (at first) had a lot of support from the administraton and fanbase.  More than Chizik has.

So just let it be and quit defecating in threads with your ponderous pontification.

I would venture to say that Chizik wins more in his first two years than Saban did in his (14-8).

If you're talking about Saban's first two years as a head coach at all where he went 15-7-1, you can't really compare that now because Chizik went 5-19 his first two years as a head coach.  If you're talking first two years in the $EC where Saban went 18-7, which is the only true comparison you can make right now, then I highly doubt Chizik wins more
