Auburn, Ala. The Auburn Athletic Department announced Friday a new game day program -Tailgate Guys- that will expand and enhance tailgating opportunities on campus. Tailgate Guys, which will be located on a previously unused part of the campus green, will provide complete tailgating services to participating fans.

"We are excited to further enhance the Tiger Tailgate experience with this new program," said Jeremy Roberts, Director, Operational Support Services. "Our fans and their game day experience is one of our top priorities. This new program provides hassle free tailgating which many of our fans have expressed an interest in. It also expands both the amount of tailgating locations and types of tailgating experiences available for our loyal fans."

Tailgate Guys provides participating fans with a turn key tailgating experience. Tents, tables, and chairs will be set-up in advance. Fans will also have the option to order coolers filled with ice, paper products and utensils, and full-service catering. This program will provide Auburn fans with first class tailgating without the time consuming hassle of the set-up.

On game day,Tailgate Guys will be located immediately south of the new Student Center on the corner of Duncan and Roosevelt. This location is the only space on campus where Tailgate Guys will be located.

This new site for tailgating will be able to accommodate several thousand additional fans on game days.

Tailgating packages go on sale to the general public on Monday, July 27, 2009 and can be purchased at: www.tailgateguys.com or by calling (334) 209-1259

Thoughts?

If I understand this correctly, I don't have a problem with it. In fact, it may be kinda cool.

Apparently, this is not going to infringe on anyone's current tailgating spot. Just adding additional tailgates, and these will be fully catered and tents will be set up in advance.

Giving the lazy rich man the option to tailgate as well.

I don't have any beef with that.

I know I've seen a similar program at other schools.  I don't see how it would be a problem at all.  I'm lazy but not rich...does that count?

As is the case most game days, I'm heading out that morning and have to hope I find a spot close to the stadium.  If I'm meeting folks...like a bunch of TigersX reprobates, I'm going to be walking a mile plus.  When it's 95 degrees in September, my fat ass toting a cooler and supplies across Auburn ain't my idea of fun.  I'll do it, but I won't enjoy it.

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

Fuck all of them!  The reason for this shit is because they keep taking tailgating spots away.  Fuck the Auburn fans, let's make sure all the visitors have good access though.  It has to be hassle free cause the university has made it a hassle to begin with. Screw Mrs. Muse and the communist pinko Yankee bullshit that she started on my campus.  I hope she does a elephant show with big al and they both catch something that cannot be cured.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

I checked into the prices and it is $222 a game if you order the season package. Or anywhere from 300-500 on a per game basis. That is for the smaller option that caters to 5-15 people. All food, drinks, etc are extra. All that is included is the following:

Personally I don't think there will be a huge demand at that price and that level of service...but we'll see.

If you have that kind of money, I would think you already have reserved places to tailgate.  Scholly parking or reserved RV spaces come to mind
