I think we will have a good offense this year. With or without Mallett(who hasn't taken a snap for us yet.)
Year 2 in Petrino's system will be light years away from last year's debut. The players are more comfortable and can simply react instead of thinking what to do. I don't think our defense is there yet. There may be some high scoring shootout type games this year. Last year we threw a lot of freshmen into the fire. They got better every game, even in the losses. We beat LSU our last time out. That shows vast improvement from our season's start. If we can pick up from that point and improve every game this year, we'll be OK.

Arkansas also figures to have one of the most loaded backfields in the conference, with running back Michael Smith returning. Smith has the highest yards per game average of any SEC football running back returning in 2009. He will be joined by two very talented freshmen, Knile Davis and Ronnie Wingo Jr. The Razorbacks offense also returns superstar TE D.J. Williams, who might just be the best pass catching tight end in the league. Two other wide receivers, Joe Adams and Greg Childs, really stepped up their game in the spring and look poised to be star receivers in the SEC during the 2009 season.

Miss. St. - They have returned to form.
Ole Miss - Any Houston Nutt coached team worries me a bit because he's a crazy bastard.
Kentucky - Uhhh, I really don't know. Good defense?

UGA - Honestly, no idea.
USCe = Will take their traditional 6-7 win role unless a QB emerges.
Vanderbilt - I actually think they may build off of last season. Maybe I'm crazy.

I think we will have at least a 9 win season. I think McElroy will surprise some folks this season as well. The only thing that concerns me is OL. I think we have a good bunch there, but you don't lose Andre Smith and not miss a beat. I bet VT is going to blitz the shit out of us and test out how that OL is going to hold up. It will only get better as the season progresses.
