But yeah, I can't for the life of me figure out what Kaos is talking about that Chizik makes him sick when he hears him speak.

He says all the right things. Yeah, I know, we'll see about the cattle, but the hat is A+ material.

Got to agree with Chad.  Nothing wrong with that interview footage.

On the off-chance that the fairy tales ain't bunk
And Imma keep a bottle of that funk

Am I reading too much into his comment of "it's not about me. It's about Auburn." that makes me think he is taking a dig at Saban?
I would say its not about me too if I had totally bombed at my first head coaching gig. Something else I found amusing, is a little story Coleman told about Chizik's lighter side. He cited a story Chizik had told him the day before or something.

Quote
So what about that joke from Chizik that had Coleman in stitches at a Fellowship of Christian Athletes banquet Thursday night?

The Cliff Notes version is this: Chizik's team had just suffered a big loss, his wife Jonna was in tears and an angry crowd was forming around their departing limousine. He wanted to do something to make someone happy, so he tossed a $100 bill out the window. Jonna very sensibly pointed out that he could have made two people happy by tossing two $50 bills out the window. Then the driver turned around and said, "Why don't you just jump out the window and make everyone happy?"

I mean, thats pretty damn bad when Iowa State football fans are forming an angry mob around your limousine. Iowa. State. Football. Fans. You guys got one hell of a coach there.

You have fun this year. Up until the end of the season when you might figure out that Saban peaked out last year.
It's an old Arkansas curse. Deal with it.

Just like how everybody said he peaked out at LSU and wouldn't do shit at Alabama? Yeah, damn near stomped out that theory in year two. As long as we keep bringing in blue chip talent year in and year out, I don't see us being shit-tastic anytime soon. Don't worry, I'm sure we will still kick the piss out of you guys in 09, as most other teams will as well. You guys better hope and pray really hard that Mallett works out if you even want to have a chance at .500 this season. What else do you guys have? I honestly could not name one player on Arkansas' roster other than Ryan Mallett off the top of my head.

That's great. You should know your enemy. We do.
Auburn will take some lumps this year, but they will improve game by game as we did last year.
Yall's term is over. Yall have just had flashes since yall's Arkansas coach retired. You think a yankee/coonass retread will carry yall to the promised land? Where's the roll on the floor smilie? Last year is the best yall will do for a while. Live in the past because yall's future is fucked. Make that the last year or so. Yall's past ain't that hot either.

Yall's last year= Ole Miss's. Won't happen again any time soon.

Word...fucking...up!!!  Last year was as good as it will ever get at Bama for as far as anyone can see. They rode the perfect freakin' storm last year to an undefeated regular season but now sport a 2 game losing streak to teams that were actually playing well.  If VT is clicking, they'll be riding a 3 game streak and all will be forgotten.  Relegated to mediocrity as has been the case for almost 2 decades.

We were told that the '07 season would be the best we would do for a while because of rebuilding. We were told we may not see another winning season for years. You say all of this shit, but you have no reasoning other than "because I say so". Our defense is the best it has been in years, and guess what, we return 9 starters off of that unit this season. Plus figure at this point we will be reloading, not rebuilding on that side of the ball in '10. I think the OL will come together and be decent this season. I'm feeling better and better about McElroy this season as well. He beat out guys like Colt McCoy and Sam Bradford at the Manning Passing Camp last week. Now, don't get me wrong; that does NOT automatically translate to wins on the field. But I feel good about the news that has been coming from campus about his maturation at the position. Nothing to worry about at RB or WR.

So, what exactly is going to have us fucked for many years to come?

Chizik doesn't say anything.  He bleats cornball cliches and meaningless coach-speak.  You can look at what he says now and go back to ISU and find the same quotes almost verbatim.

"(Insert Quarterback's Name Here) did some good things and some bad things at practice today.  We've got to work on doing more of the good and less of the bad."

Seriously.  No shit.  I think we should work on doing more of the bad.

Problem is, if you look back far enough you'll see that same quote echoed about four times in ISU interviews.

"This is my dream job."

He must have a shitload of dreams.

He says nothing. And my biggest problem? He looks and sounds dumb while saying it.

So, what exactly is going to have us fucked for many years to come?

The fact that you're Alabama?  You haven't been shit in your entire existence except for one 25-year window that you refuse to allow to die a natural death.  Not shit.

You were fucking great during that time, there's no question. How you achieved that greatness is a matter of debate, but that drunken, cheating, sorry ass sack of shit you deify certainly had your team performing well. I mean he did take maximum advantage of the racial bias of the day and owed much of his success to bigotry, but that's also another story.  Fact is, Alabama owned the 70s.

But guess what, shit-tickler? That crotchety bastard has been dead for longer than he coached at your miserable school.  Before he got there your program played second fiddle to a lot of teams -- Auburn included.  Since he left, you've been relegated to your natural position behind a bunch of teams -- Auburn included.  Yeah, you've had momentary flashes and the occasional good season, just like Ole Miss or Vanderbilt. But the days you dream about are not coming back -- now or ever.  You'll be good -- maybe -- for a year or two, but that's the end of it.

Your overhyped fuckstick of a coach won ten or more games twice at LSU.  Followed those up with nine or less wins and some galling losses to craptastic teams.  Got pissed when that didn't satisfy the fans and left.  Yeah, that's a good mix.  Les Miles has done more in his time at LSU than Saban did for fuck's sake and he's borderline retarded.

We don't know how he would have fared after his only successful season at Michigan State because the leprechaun fled the building as soon as he won a game or two.

Nick Saban is 70% bullshit, 15% unfounded hype, 10% media masturbation and 5% worth a fuck.

Thats usually why when somebody throws out the whole "you think you have a rightful place because of Bear, or whatever" line I let them know how stupid they are. I never really got to see or be part of the good times, other than once or twice, so I don't have some sense of entitlement. The slaves are doing a little more than rising up. If shit continues the way things are going now on the Plains, we'll be bitchslapping the masters for years to come.

I feel the need to bring this up every now and then...

Remember this?

Nick Saban can't recruit like he did at LSU. Auburn has the state pretty much locked down, and they recruit Florida/Georgia too well.  Saban's inappropriate comments in the media is going to ruin his national reputation.  How could he compare a loss to LA Monroe to the 911 attacks?  Oh yeah, by the way, Alabama led by mighty Nick Saban lost to LA Monroe.  Do Alabama fans really think they're going to "rise again" with this guy?  Do they really think they're going to become a national title contender and accomplish anything with this egomaniac?  Not to mention, Tuberville has Auburn rolling like a well oiled machine.  Too well coached and too much to compete with will send Saban packing after a few years.  Wait a second...I think ANOTHER Alabama player has been arrested.

Then the bowl game win over Colorado (or whoever it was).

Then Julio Jones and Co.'s #1 recruiting class.

Then 12-2 season.

Then another #1 recruiting class.

Now...we're hearing this....

Auburn can't recruit against Saban while he's at Alabama.  He has the state pretty much locked down, and they recruit Florida/Georgia too well.  Chizik's horrible two years at Iowa St has ruined his reputation in the national media.  He obviously doesn't know how to run a football program.  Oh yeah, by the way, Auburn lost to Vanderbilt last year.  Some talent they have on the plains.  Do Auburn fans really think they're going to "rise again" with this guy?  Do they really think they're going to become a national title contender and accomplish anything with this loser?  Not to mention, Saban has Alabama rolling like a well oiled machine.  Too well coached and too much to compete with will send Chizik packing after a few years.  Wait a second...I think ANOTHER stud player just committed to Alabama.

You saw just how quickly things changed in your favor, RWS.

As an Alabama fan who never saw the "glory days" of Alabama, I'm used to seeing our program in disarray and doing whatever they can to shoot themselves in the foot. For a while I was pretty sure our program could fuck up a soup sandwich. I'm still shocked how quickly things changed, but that goes both ways as well. Shit can always happen.

I can grasp that AU let CTT go, ok, I can go with that. But I don't think you guys got an upgrade.

Are you going to answer my question? What do you guys have other than Ryan Mallett? Why should I believe that you guys are going to put up much more of a fight than you did with us in '08, especially with the game being played in Tuscaloosa this season?
