Yeah but, he was singled out, along with the other three, to the media as being somewhat of a trouble maker.
Then he should explore his options from a legal standpoint.
Lawrence was a four star prospect, rated as one of the top cornerback prospects a few years ago. He did a great job against Julio Jones in the Alabama/Mississippi All-Star game and was considered a huge pickup when he signed with Alabama.
I've seen the comments about Saban cutting the Shula players to make room for his "studs". Lawrence wasn't a Shula recruit, he was a top recruit for Saban, so I doubt he was cut just because we needed room. Especially considering that Travis Sikes is still on scholarship. The only thing I know about him leaving is that Saban said he violated team rules.
Lawrence says he didn't. Something obviously took place for him not to be invited back. If that's not the case, then he should either hire a lawyer or just come out and say what really happened.
Anyone can say, "that's BS, but I don't want to talk about it". I mean,
IF he did violate team rules that would cause him to lose his scholarship at Alabama, is he really going to tell a reporter what he did, so they can put it in print?
