The Dress Code
« on: June 27, 2009, 10:19:24 PM »
Enough of it.  I watched yet another interview today with Gene Chizik where he spoke about the changes involving the football team.  His entire point was based around changing the appearance of the players.

I've got only one complaint about Chizik right now.  He's not informing anybody about anything.  While this may all be well and good for some coaches, Trooper Taylor and Curtis Luper seem to have the freedom to speak to whoever about recruiting.

How well do you know Coach Chizik?  I know he doesn't like ear rings in the locker room.  I know he thinks that will help our players turn into upstanding citizens.  That's great.  What else, coach?

You will learn to live with it. When Shula was at UA it seems everybody knew everything about everything. When CNS got here, total information vacuum from a fan's standpoint really. We never really know much about anything during the offseason. It sucks especially when you have a new coach, because you want to know every detail of how he is going to change things and what he is doing to make things better, no matter how small it is, you want to know. I can relate with you.

Go back to ISU and the helmet lining up stupidity.  Just start there.  Watch Chizik waste tons of time focusing on processes without consideration for result.

I'd be cool with a Sabanesque coach in the media.  If Chizik wants to keep to himself and just spoonfeed the reporters with "dress code" bullshit, fine.  But why the fuck are Taylor and Luper getting to interview all over the place?  That's where I'm confused.

I, as a fan, know two Auburn assistants more than the head coach.  Something isn't right about that.  Honestly, Gene Chizik hasn't publically accomplished anything of merit.  I know we've got some excellent recruiters, and I know Chizik is pushing a family atmosphere.  Are the fans part of that family?

Luckily he hasn't tried that at Auburn.

I'm cool with the new dress code, but it was news back in February.  It's almost July.  We've got one month until two-a-days.  Two months until the season starts.  I don't know a thing about this football team.

He hasn't started worrying about irrelevant shit already?  I think he has. It's what he does. We've all had bosses like that -- guys who don't have a clue how to lead so they dwell on petty bullshit to prove what a great leader they are.

You don't know anything about this football team? Neither does Chizik

Didn't realize that was required.

Can you prove he DOES know anything?  Other than some bullshit blueprint?

I cant tell you 100% that he had never lost a game as head coach at Auburn. Can you PROVE me wrong?

He's never won one either.

The dress code shit is typical of his pattern at ISU, and typical of the methodology of an ineffective manager clown.  They focus on minutae, consider themselves to be great managers in doing so and are completely oblivious to their own foppishness.  It's par for what I expect from him, actually. Gene Chizik can see a tree, but he is unaware of the forest surrounding it.

Maybe they should have considered dress code when wearing those God awful bowling shirts on Tiger Prowl. Speaking of stuff like that, how are they doing things like Tiger Prowl and then Big Cat Weekend and then turning around and being strict disciplinarians? It kind of seems like they are sending out mixed signals if you ask me.

Maybe you shouldn't give a fuck what Auburn's coaches do. Last I heard, Mal Moore is still employed as AD at your school. I would be more concerned about that if I happened to be a bammer fan.

Just saying.

Just saying.

I could take the time and effort to type out a long rebuttal, but I won't. Since you're a bammer fan, I'll simply leave it as go fuck yourself.

Let me clue you (and all your cockroachlike brethren) in on a little secret: We honestly don't give a piss what you think. Your opinions on anything are as valid to us as those espoused by a $.25 hooker.

Go to your own boards and talk about your own team. We'll see you in November....dick face.

That hurts me man, right here. What a zinger. Thats cool though, just remember, AU won't be able to gain points by making a first down, making a play of 15+ yards, holding us to a 3-and-out, making a TFL, getting an INT, etc. You guys will have to actually get it in the end zone or through the uprights this time.

Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall said, "Guys don't mind hitting Michael Vick in the open field, but when you see Cam, you have to think about how you're going to tackle him. He's like a big tight end coming at you."
