Football (safety/corner) and baseball (RF/P). I played offense for a total of 3 snaps and recovered a fumble - my own! Had a pick 6 my senior year against Glencoe. Returned it somewhere around 40 yards for the score.

In baseball, I had a wicked pitch. It was an off speed-screwball combo that my coach called the screw up. Usually went for a double, at least. Seriously though, I was a pretty decent pitcher. We won our region my junior and senior year.

You just sited Marching Band as a sport you played in high school!
I would rather do that than roll around on the ground with a bunch of sweaty guys. I'm not saying anything.....I'm just sayin....I wasn't necessarily thinking specifically and strictly sport, I was thinking extracurricular.

I played rugby for Auburn - mostly flanker, so only one ear is slightly torn, in case "War Eagle!!!" is interested.
Growing up, I played soccer for the most seasons (ten years), but basketball was (still is) my favorite sport to play - never played organized baseball, and never wanted to.

He rocked the flute section!
You're confused - he was in the flag line - it was later that he was on the Julio piccolo (not to be confused with Brian Piccolo, who did actually play football)

Football, OLB/Wing Back, wee wee through 12th
Soccer for two seasons when I was in elementary school
Baseball, T ball through 9th
Tennis, 10th through 12th.
One season of basketball in the 11th and realized why I hadn't played it before then.

Baseball from T-Ball all the way through High School.  I was a bad ass 3rd baseman, but couldn't hit my weight most years.

Basketball from 1st grade through 7th or 8th...when I found out I suffered from Slowandshortatosis.

I played the baseball, football, and basketball every year all the way from youth league up through high school. I also played baseball, which was my favorite, at the JUCO level before an arm injury ended that run during my freshman year, and then the US Army became my new team.

Baseball - pitcher, SS, 2B in HS and pitcher in college
Football - WR, cornerback, safety and a little QB.
Basketball - small forward and guard

Ran track one spring in the 9th grade...cross country and the mile.

Started playing cupball around 6 years old and turned pro at age 10. The money and the fame turned me into a monster, so I had to give it up by the time I was 13 and return back to my roots.

Soccer - 1st grade through 6th grade.

Football - 6th grade through my junior year in high school, where I blew my knee out and was done with football for good.  Played WR when I was younger (my only touchdown came in 8th grade - a 60 yard catch for a touchdown - when you watch the home video, it takes me three days to reach the end zone) was moved to Strong Safety in 10th grade, then RB in 11th, where I promptly blew my ACL out in the Gauntlet drill...after that I became the team's cameraman, so I still traveled with the team but got to enjoy smokeless tobacco products in the filming booth as I filmed each game...the best part of the game was the $20 that Coach Bill Bacon slipped me after each game, under the table, for my efforts)

Baseball - Pee Wee through 8th grade.

I didn't pick up golf until my freshman year in college.  I'd like to say this is why I suck at this sport, but it also may have to do with the beer drinking...

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

To my knowledge he is.  Enjoying the pension check and playing lots of golf.  Since he started coaching in 1969, I would think that he's in his late 60's/early 70's.  Could be wrong about it all, as he's retired somewhat quietly and has been out of the spotlight for some time.

Agreed.  Their record has been in the shitter lately.

Corch Bacon is in the top 5 all time best HC's in Alabama category, in my biased opinion.

Football- Pee Wee thru Soph. year.  I was slow as Christmas, but the height of a CB/WR at 5'6" then...topped out at a huge 5'8".  Fought my weight, and when I was heavy (175ish) played OL and DT my Fr year.  Got it down a bit, worked out hard and moved to LB my Soph year...still played OL too...made the mistake of showing the coach I could snap the ball and got to be full time scout team center...worst job possible!  As much interest as I have in football now, it just wasn't fun being small and slow, and getting your head beat in and not getting to play much.  Had earned a starting spot at LB on the B-team (we had a full Fr. team, B-team, and Varsity) my soph. year, lost it when I got strep and mono.  Because I had worked hard my Soph year, got honored with a chance to dress and play in one Varsity game.  Fr. at that time never played varsity, and only a rare Soph. made the full time Varsity...only one did my soph year...went on the play RB at Furman, now coaches at Vestavia, our alma mater. Gave it up after Soph year.

Baseball: Pee Wee thru Pony League...couldn't make Coach Dunn's team at Vestavia.  Tried.

Just for shits and giggle I tried out for Basketball every year in MS and HS...had no illusions of making the team.  Played some rec league.

Picked up Tennis and dabbled at it my Fr. and Soph. year...made the Varsity Tennis Team and played #2 singles/#1 doubles Jr. and Sr. years.  Played tournement tennis, was ranked as high as the top 30 in the state in 16 and 18 year olds.  Had good strokes, big forehand...but wasn't good with the mental side of the game.   Went to a small NAIA school that had won the NAIA NC the year prior.  The #1 guy was ranked in the top 100 in the world.  Bunch of French Canadians and Swedes.   I used to hit the ball around with them some when I could get their arrogant asses to acknowldge me.   The one American player (the #6 guy on the team) would usually hit with me if I asked him.  One day I'm in the stands to watch a match, and the two Swedes are layed up drunk somewhere...Coach comes up the steps to me in the stands and says: "Ive seen you hit, you wanna play?"  I said "sure".  I won the only college match of my life.    Once got the #1 guy to agree to hit with me...actually he said in broken English "I give you playing lesson, free if you take one game, $10 if I you no win game".  This dude had just taken a set off Ivan Lendle in the Canadian Open.  I actually got 2 game points on him in a set, but he had another gear when I got to game point.  Lots of guys have the strokes...few have what it takes mentally to play at a world class level.

Edit to add: I almost forgot...If you played football, you had to do something in the spring, so one year my Fr year I tried my hand at Wrestling, and my Soph year I "ran track"...or threw the "disco" and shotput as it were.
